A Lot of Kiddos

(click on collage to make it bigger)

We are starting a new monthly get together at the Lasenberry's. It is so cool to see the kiddos playing with their cousins! Caylea, Carolina and Caden all had a blast! All of the kids were there except little Sarah bear. She was sick so she had to stay home with her mommy. Next month hopefully we will get a picture of all of the kiddos outside. It's amazing to see them all together and know that all ten of them are going to have a chance to be close to each other. I have always wanted my kids to be close to All of their cousins and grow up playing with and seeing them all regularly. I can't make that happen for every single one of them but this is one step closer to full filling that desire. So next month is scheduled and the menu planned. So happy to see it all come together so well.

On another note Caylea's Papa has 3 dogs and he offered to let her take one of them home with her. She wanted to so badly his name is brodeaux. I was going to let her but the puppy is not kennel trained and tears up his nails when he is locked up. When he is not locked up he chews on wood. My hubby didn't go for that. Caylea's Papa is keeping an eye out for a puppy for Caylea and Caylea remembers that she has spoken about it several times already. She is convinced there will be a puppy when we go out there next month. I am hoping that she forgets because ummm. . .well that probably won't be the case.

Anyways I am just feeling really blessed to get to spend time with my wonderful family! I love them all very much!

A bonus VBS for my 3

I took the kids to VBS at the church I grew up in last week. It was great to see some old friends and catch up. My kids had a great time also :) Every night they asked about going to see their new friends again. I love watching Caylea interact with other children. She has this silly side that I don't see so much here at home! Carolina does great in classes. She really enjoys herself and also I think because she doesn't have any food allergies I don't have to worry about her. Caden got to priticipate in some of the things. Well the things I took him too. He had a really good time and I got to see his friendliness come out. . .even though he tries to hold it in. I know it's in him now :) Here are a of my favorite pic's from the week.

Zoo Day

Last Wednesday my sisters and I decided to pack it up and head to the zoo. It was such a nice day kinda hot but not too bad. It was a beautiful day for pictures. It had been a few months since I had gone to the zoo! We really missed it. I can not wait for it to be nicer weather so that we can go there a lot more!

I am enjoying my children getting a little older. Do not get me wrong I am in no hurry for them to grow up! In fact I still do not want to miss a day of their little lives. However with a 2 year old, a 3 year old and a 6 year old it is much easier to to go the zoo than with say a newborn, a year and a half old and a 4 year old. That my dear friends was a little stressful for this momma! In fact even last summer and fall when Caden was 1, Carolina was 2/3 and Caylea was 5 it was pretty difficult. Don't get me wrong my 3 blessings still need a whole lot of supervision and in public I seldom if ever take my eyes off of them. Now though they are learning to stay with the group and not run off so that helps a ton! That is a blessing to this Mommy!

A bouncy birthday party

On Tuesday it was Anna's birthday party and she had it at Bounce Craze. The kids loved it! I really enjoyed it also! Caden wouldn't climb up and slide at first so I took him up and then he was hooked. The first 100 times I carried him up! Then I asked a friend to show him how thinking he would listen to someone else better. Well it worked and he had it all figured out! Then there was no stopping the boy! It was a great time and Rae made another one of a kind super cute cake!

Caylea's 6th Birthday

Caylea wanted to have her birthday party at the spray park. Rae talked with Caylea and together they came up with a cute little cake that Caylea loved!

I think everyone had a great time playing at the spray park! The played had some cake and juice, watched Caylea open her presents then played a little more before it was time to go home. Caylea had a great day! She can be so social! She played with all of her friends at the spray park then a few of them and her cousins came over to our house for lunch. Livi stayed till her Mom got off of work. It was a great day for my NEW 6 year old!

Then on Saturday on her actual birthday we met my mom, sisters and Monica (and all involved kiddos) at Chili's for lunch. They broght Caylea a chocalate milk shake and sung her happy birthday. It's so cute she gets so embarrased when being sung happy birthday too (so much of me shines thru that little girl).

After lunch Monica and I took Caylea and Livi to the movies. Caylea chose to see The new Ice Age movie. It was pretty cute and we all had a really nice time.

I still can not believe my little baby girl is 6 years old. It just doesn't seem possible! I am so thankful that she still lets me snuggle her often and give her lots of love and kisses! I am hanging on to that until the very last day she lets me snuggle with her! Hopefully that time is far far away!

VBS 2009

Day One of VBS. . .the kids had so much fun! I am so thankful to all of people who put in their time so that the kids can have a week full of GOD! It was an amazing week for the kids!

Day 2 of vbs. Obviously I love taking pictures of my kids. I am actually holding back on my pictures limiting myself to my favorites from each day if you can believe that!

Day 3 of VBS was Wednesday. The kids played with the water balloons in game time. It was so fun to watch. Even though Carolina refused to play at actually stayed in Ms. Kathryn's arms the whole time. Caylea played and she LOVED it! The kids loved music they did a good mix of praise songs and fun silly songs for the kids to sing.

Day 4 was the last day of vbs. Another class they had all week was craft time. On the first day they made shrinky dinks I had heard of them but had never actually seen them. It was really cool how they worked. The second day the kids made sun visors they got to decorate them however they wanted. On the third day they made boats and people out of paper plates and Popsicles sticks really cute. On the last day the kids made coffee mugs they loved all of the crafts and I am sure we will be hanging on to them for a long time to come.
