Stopping by to say hi!

Well I guess I have been taking a blogging break lately. I didn't realize I was going to be doing that. We have been so busy lately and when we haven't been busy I have been in total de-cluttering/cleaning mode. I have always been some what of a pack rat and I am not saying that I have totally let that go. However I have let a lot of things go. Donating somethings, putting some things on craigslist to sale or just giving things away or back to whom it belongs to. I can't wait to feel like I have completed it all. I have a feeling that may never happen. I think when I am done it will be time to start over!

We have had a few big blessings lately. Anthony's Cousin Melissa has a web site (the link is on the right over there she is the Consumer Queen) anyways I am not sure how much I can share on the blog but we have had a few blessings from her. One I know I can share is that her their family was blessed by Walmarts 11 mom's (which I entered the contest too. . .WHICH YOU SHOULD SO TOTALLY DO TOO! http://www.consumerqueen.com/enter-to-win-a-500-room-makeover/comment-page-12#comment-27861) and Taylor her daughter got a room makeover from Walmart. So she gave us Taylor's old bed. Which is a really nice bed. The girls love it and are so happy with it! I do to it makes their room look so much better! Also her work was cleaning out their freezer and gave us a ton of food mostly fast fixin's chicken nuggest, steak fingers, hamburgers things like that and if you know kids you know these are things that kids love! At least mine do!

Her mom Patsy also gets us some great deals on food and has also got us some Washing soap in fact we have like 6 bottles of soap up in our cabinet in the bathroom as we speak!

What a blessing these two have been during this time in our lives. In case you do not know Anthony lost his over time in the spring and we have had a tough time making it since then. God has taken care of us and we haven't gotten anything cut off or gone without a meal.

He has put in my path a few houses to clean in fact I am cleaning one in the morning. Even though it's only a small portion of what we lost it does seem to come when we most need it.

My sister goes for two interviews this week. They are teaching jobs and she has her license she just does has not actually taught a class yet. She is very nervous about these interviews so if you could please keep her in your prayers I know she would apprieciate it. Just to calm her nerves I know they will love her if they can see her love for teaching children.

Well that is all of our update for now. I will try to get some pic's of the kids up in the next few days. They are growing like crazy as I am sure you can imagine.

Some backyard fun

Yesterday afternoon I filled up the kids little pool and let it warm up over a few hours. Then we went outside for some water fun. I knew the girls would love it but Caden has never played in it. He has had the chance just would never get in. Even when we went to a big pool a few times this summer I made him get in with me for a bit but he just never enjoyed it.

So last night he shocked me he walked right out there and hoped right in. He even started sliding. I was worried after he went under water that he wouldn't slide again (it moves kinda fast when your suit is wet). But I told him to shake it off and he did and that was it. He is becoming my tough little two year old.

Caylea had a blast swimming I knew she would but she was even blowing bubbles and talking to me about last year when she was in swim class and how she hated it. She wants to take swim classes now of course but we don't have a Y membership anymore at this time.

Carolina loved it too of course. She has always been so cold natured she had a hard time enjoying the water but this summer she has really gotten more into it. She still gets cold but not near as bad and if she wraps up in a towel for a bit she is ready to hop right back in :)

Hmm. . .thought I would share with you a little example of what my day is like with my 2 and 3 year old. . .of course on a normal day the 6 year old is fighting in the mix. . .Actually I think Caylea and Carolina fight and Carolina and Caden fight. . .I am thinking Caylea and Caden do not generally fight not that it never happens just not often.. Not sure why. . .hmmm

I had appointments this morning for Carolina and Caden and Caylea didn't want to go so she got to go hang out with her Aunt Patsy she had so much fun! She kept asking me questions about Patsy and her cats and dogs all day. . .I just had to keep telling her I don't know you will have to ask Patsy. . . So Patsy be ready Caylea has a million questions for you :)

We have Well Child checkups for all 3 kiddos tomorrow. Caylea needs her 4-6 year boosters, Carolina needs her 18 month boosters and Caden has to start his vaccinations. Because of his allergies we have put off starting until now. So if you think about it our appointments are at 11:00 in the morning. I think I could use your prayers also that their vaccinations do not cause too much discomfort for them after they are done.

Question?

For those of you brave enough to enter this battle. . .

Does it sound like a logical answer to you to take all of the chairs that a two year old can push (ie including dinning room table chars) and put them out of the house. . .in order for this said 2 year old can not do undesirable things. . .I will give you this some of these things are dangerous

Okay I can't wait to get your feed back. . .I am way on one side of this fence by the way. . .

Sweet Pea

I have been corrected her name is sweetie pie :)

We adopted a family pet or shall I say maybe that pet adopted us. It has been living in our backyard all summer under our air conditioner. Caylea wants to pick it up and hold it so bad but she is too scared and there is no way I am going to even try to pick the thing up. I can imagine that Caden and Carolina would probably pick it up if they could catch it. It's a quick hider and knows right where to go where no one can reach it. . .under the air conditioner. We all went out and named it tonight. I guess Carolina thinks it looks like a girl because she chose sweet pea and we all agreed.

Okay just in case you hadn't guessed . . .our new pet is a frog :)

Caylea's video skills

Warning if you get motion sick you may not want to watch it. . .I couldn't watch it. . .Caylea thinks it's the coolest thing ever!

I would say her style is expressive.

Enjoy!

My Thoughts

#1 thinks amazing does not describe God adequately!
#2 Blessed is a major feeling inside of me right now!

Zoo

We got to go to the zoo two times last week. It was very nice (and hot). On Tuesday we went with our friend Whitnee and her girls, niece and nephew. I had my nephew Elijah and our friend Charity. So we had a little crowd with us. It is not every time that we go to the zoo that something happens that you feel like your kids really enjoy and will remember for a long time to come. This day though there was something very fun! Whitnee and I were letting the kids watch the turtles and ducks in the tortoise exhibit. The guy taking care of the tortoises came out with a big box of fruits and veggies. The began feeding the turtles and let all of the kids take turns feeding them carrots! It was so cool! I wish I had gotten more pictures of the kids feeding them but it was all moving too fast I couldn't be everywhere at one time. So much fun. Also a duck in the exhibit bit Caden's finger. I didn't see it happen but Caden said "NO DUCK NO BITE!!!" LOL Of course he talked about it for a few days and kept showing me his finger (which was fine). So cute!

Then Wednesday I went up to the hospital so see a friends cute new baby and to pick up my friends little girl and keep her for the day. My sister Brandy meet me up there (Elijah had stayed the night with us). So Brandy and I decided to go back to the zoo. I mostly wanted to go so I could get pictures of my kids. I just think Caden is not going to take a good picture for a stranger. He is a mess! I have always been so good about taking my kids for their pictures. Each child went the week of their "birthday" each month for the first year then every 3 months the second year then once a year from then on or at least the week of their birthday. This time I am slacking on taking them. Caylea and Caden just had birthday's last month. . .ugh yeah it's been over a month since Caden's birthday.
Since I obviously can not get a great picture of them I am going to try a new place called Portrait innovations. We will see. I am not sure when but hopefully soon! Anyways we had a great time at the zoo the pictures in the butterfly garden was our first stop(it was already too late and shadows were already to bad. . .ugh plus my camera settings were off and I didn't realize it until after we left the garden and my kids were done!). The kids all had a great time and were wore out for naps so if that happens no zoo trip is wasted. . .plus I got to spend the afternoon with my sis Brandy!.

Caylea's Misty

Our friend Hannah read one of my blogs about Caylea wanting a puppy really bad. She put us in touch with a friend of hers who actually lives about 5 minutes from our house. Anyways he is moving into an appartment and couldn't take both of his puppies with him. So he was looking for a good home for his 2 year old beagle Misty. She seemed perfect for us. So we went to meet her. She is such a sweet puppy! She is so well behaved too! I don't think there is anyway I could of trained her as well as she is trained. Her formar owner definatly did an awesome job with her! We love her!
