Our life update

Caylea is doing very well. . .physically her asthma that was kicking up a month ago has calmed down so for that I am very grateful! I just replaced another epi pen one that expired and did NOT have to be used on my daughter so for that we are thankful! Caylea is 6 years old and we are homeschooling she is close to completing her first grade curriculum so we will soon enough be ordering second grade for her to start! A few weeks ago she read her first chapter book to me it was a junie b. Jones book. My sister Amanda that has a college degree in early childhood education told me I need to move up a grade level so we will be checking that out and see about challenging her. Caylea has been hanging with me while her brother and sister are at pre-school with their Aunt Amanda for a few hours on Wednesday and Friday mornings. We do have Lizzie also but it is nice just getting to chat with my oldest daughter and listen to what she wants to do! One day we just spent the time getting our hair and nails done. . .it was great! Caylea has been being such a big helper with Caden it is so sweet she wants to help get his jammies on him every night and read him a story. She also asks to change his diaper but I do not allow that that is defiantly not a 6 year old's job! Caden loves his sissy reading him a bedtime story!

Carolina just had her 4th birthday a week ago today! So hard to believe it seems like yesterday she was joining our little family and now she is no longer a bsby or a toddler at all! She is turning into beautiful little lady just like her big sister! Carolina has always possessed a certain trait that will serve her well when she is older. But right now that trait is wearing on this mommy. This little girl fears nothing and does what she wants without regard to getting caught, even knowing trouble will be coming her way! She is also oh so sweet and even though I like to act like I HATE it that she comes to my bed at some point in the night some part of me loves those mornings when I get to snuggle with her right before I start my day! You know she is next to you because you hear her still sucking on those two middle fingers and holding onto that pink silky blanket she has had since she was a very small baby. Carolina is really enjoying her pre-school like I have said before she knows all that they learn there letters, colors and such but she has so much fun with the pages and I am quite sure that the "class time" and structure is very good for her.

Caden my little baby boy! What is going on with him? This little boy hmm. . .I only thought Carolina had an ornery streak. . .he has shown us what that can truly mean! He is amazing he says lots of new words everyday! He surprises me sometimes with what comes out of his mouth. Caden loves music and has many times gotten Anthony's guitar case open by himself and started just playing. Caden is ready to be potty trained and mommy is almost there. We just need to say home for a week or so to get it done. I am thinking either after Thanksgiving or after Christmas we will see how it goes. I know he has it in him but is just as happy to use his diaper so I am not in as big of a rush as one would think. After buying diapers constantly for over 6 years I am not going to know what to do when I do not have to walk to the diaper isle anymore! Caden is also loving pre-school I love asking him what the F says he says it so cute! I think he had a rough time the at first because Auntie Amanda made him stay in his seat and he had to figure out how to obey but Friday he did not cry when I dropped him off so I have hope that that is over and now he can just enjoy and have a great time soaking it all in! I think I turned a corner with Caden when we went to the zoo a few weeks ago if anyone knows me and knows how I am about pictures this won't surprise you. All of our children fight over sitting on this big turtle statue thing when we go to the zoo so I told the kids we were going to take pictures one at a time and get everyone. So of course everyone did great until I got to my son he would not sit on the thing (wanna know why?. . . because I wanted him to!) So I told him he was going to sit there and I wasn't letting him up until he smiled guess what he sat up and smiled! LOL At that moment I realized he was not a baby anymore and had more control over himself and obeying than he lets on! (this in itself is funny because if you knew me when Caylea was little I was so different. . .I defiantly expected a lot from Caylea - still do I think).

Anyways that is our update for now - I know a lot of it is just ramblings and I hope you can make some since out of it.

Off to bed now I didn't mean to stay up this late. . . nighty night!

Fall pictures

I was always so good at getting my children's pictures taken . . .every month the first year and then just on their birthday's after that. However this summer it just didn't get done. So these pictures I had taken will serve as Caylea's 6 year, Carolina 4 year and Caden's 2 year pic's.

There are so many that I decided to make a slide show I know it will take a while to get thru it but there are some really great pictures. The first one is the best group then the next three are my favorite in color of each of the children. Then I tried to put the different poses of more than one of the children. After that they are just individuals.

I love them and can not wait to get them printed (no I have not done that yet. . .)

I think Kelly maybe in the works of getting a website or blog going so when she gets it up I will post a link to it.

I know this was not exactly an update . . .I am working on that . . . lol

Love my life

I have not gotten to update my blog in a little bit and I do not really have time right now. I will though try to make a post tonight or tomorrow about what has been going on in our little lives.

One thing is for sure right now I feel like I am growing and learning a lot of things that I should of already figured out about friendships and relationships in general.

One thing is for sure I love my sisters they are always there for me and never judge me and cut me a break when my emotions have the better of me! I love them so much and thank God for putting the sweetest sisters a girl could ask for in my life! I hope one day that I can be part of the Godly women that they are!

Thank you girls I love you! You guys have made the word sister more special to me than I knew it could be! (((hugs)))

Well I am off a sweet friend offered to keep our 3 blessings while hubby and I go out to dinner . . .how blessed are we!

A beautiful week!

What a wonderful busy week! I am so glad I do not have plans tomorrow! Of course the football game will be on and we will most likely have a few visitors but no set in stone plans!

I can not remember how many park trips I made this week but there were several! One day there were even two park trips. . .I just feel like I am "wasting" the nice weather staying cooped up in the house!

Carolina and Caden continued their Pre-school with Aunt Amanda this week. They also had two new classmates. So Amanda now has a total of 7 little pre-schoolers she is teaching! I will have to get some pictures of them during class but so far I haven't figured out how to do that! Amanda told me that Caden got put in time out a few times today :( because he wouldn't stay seated. The little guy has to learn! I am hoping that this will help when he is old enough to come to Sunday School. I do not really worry too much about the other one's coming in but you know how it is to have your own children in your class they always seem to act up more for mommy!

My sister Amanda did go on a job interview at a school over here by my house on Thursday. If she gets it pre-school will be over for my kiddos. I am praying for God's will in this! I hate to see pre-school go but I also know she is looking for a job for a reason.

It was so nice this morning. It was just Caylea and I when we dropped the little one's off. First we went up to the nail salon and Caylea got her nails painted (which you can see in one of the below pictures ~ however she has already peeled it all off!) while we were there I got waxed (eyebrows and lip OUCH!). Then we headed to get haircuts. I knew I needed mine cut I looked in the mirror yesterday and thought what happened I never meant to let my hair grow out that long! Caylea was going to get her hair trimmed but decided not to (of course soon after that she changed her mind again but it was too late!) Then we met some friends up at Target for a few minutes till it was time to pick up the little one's. I am so thankful because they helped me pick out some cute sweaters for the kiddos to get pictures made in! We only had Carolina left but I think I got that taken care of now :)

After we picked up the little one's we headed to my mom's for lunch. . .then back to the park! LOL

This evening I went to a stampin' up party it was great I made several cards and a little box! They are so cute! I can not wait to go again. I also joined the "club" so we will meet once a month! So fun!

Here is the blog of a friend who was there that already posted about it! (and she has pic's I have none)

http://leahnicole78.blogspot.com/

Also a friend who has not yet blogged about it but actually took a few pictures there and is going to blog about it! :)

I hope these two ladies do not mind me sharing their blogs with everyone :)

Amy our host also has a blog but I do not yet have that link and will share it as soon as I get it!

Time to close and go to bed I will leave you with a few pictures from this week! I hope you all enjoy your weekends!

Caylea Loves Horses. . .are we surprised?

Sunday afternoon we met one of Anthony's coworkers up at his stable so that the kiddos could ride his horses. Rick and Karen own three horses Radar is Ricks horse he has a large white patch on his nose. Karens horse is Rosie she has a very small white patch very high on her face. They also have a 9 month old named Tony he so soft and cute!

The girls loved Jack this horse is 35 years old. He is allowed just to walk around the stables and visit with everyone. Rick told us that he had a heart attack the week before and spent a week at the vet. He said he had just returned to the stable I am so glad that we got to meet him! He is such a gentle guy! My girls actually called him "come here Jack" and he came to them! It was so sweet!

This is Tony isn't he so pretty and sweet!

Rick and Karen thought the kids were done riding however Caylea wanted to ride some more so she got to ride Rosie bareback outside. It made for much better pictures!

Here is Carolina riding Rosie bare back.

Of course my little lady was in tears we were leaving because she wanted to ride more. So Rick, Karen and Rosie were kind enough to give her a ride to the van! She was so thrilled.

Needless to say I have heard a whole lot about horses since sunday but I think it's super sweet to see how my daughter has such a heart for animals!

Caden and his baby Liam

This is Caden and his baby Liam he has just become attached to him over the last few days. I have seen him take him potty, brush his teeth and read him a bedtime story. It is hard to believe that a little over two years ago Caden wore that sleeper!

Halloween

We were invited to go with my husbands cousin to her in-law's for dinner and also to take the kids trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. We were so excited as we have never taken our kids for real trick-or-treating before. They have been to haunt the zoo before and when we went to haunt the harn they had candy at each of the houses we visited. However true trick-or-treating had never been done by my children.

We went over there early enough to visit with everyone. It was Sammy and Linda's house and I used the opportunity to snap a few pic's of my children in their backyard. I wish that my eye was better with the pictures I can always see something that should be different or that just doesn't work but not usually until I get home.

After the kiddos were full of pizza, chips and salsa and popcorn we headed out. The kiddos and I walked a lot of the time but we had the golf cart to ride in for longer stretches between houses. Melissa drove it most of the time but I got to drive it for a bit and I am now hooked I want one. Seriously I do not live in an area where it would be handy but how fun!

Well all of the kiddos had so much fun and they all 5 got loaded up on candy and not only that but I believe they all had an amazing time! I know we were out for over 2 hours and Caylea was still upset when we were heading back to the house. Although once we got there she was happy as can be she had a blast playing with Ryan and Taylor at the house also.

I hope all of you enjoyed you day yesterday with your kiddos no matter what you did with the time!
