Thank You Elijah!

So late tonight/early morning I was up making a cake for my nephew Alex's Birthday which we are celebrating tomorrow. Caden whom is 2 and did NOT take a nap today was still up fighting sleep. . .so much so that he was building and playing with his hot wheel city that Elijah gave him today. All of the children were playing with this for quite a while this evening and Caden well. . .into the night.

So instead of getting onto him and making him go to bed. I played with him. He is now in bed with me as it is 1:40AM and I would love to be able to go to sleep soon! He is still smiley and happy making me giggle at his cuteness! UGH! If only he weren't so cute! Then maybe just maybe I could get some sleep! :)

So here is a video I took I was surprised when he said he wanted to move to Louisiana so I had to video it and make him say it again :)

I also took plenty of pictures! Thank you Elijah for giving Caden the Hot wheel city he loves it so much! You are a sweet boy for sharing with your cousin! Love you bunches!

Caden having fun playing

Playing some more. . .

Taking a break to read a book. . .

Some more playing. . .

He does not look too awful tired does he? I have a feeling I maybe in for a long night. . .oh wait. . .he is laying here beside me sleeping away! Boy how I love this little man who fought sleep till almost 2AM!

Guess I better go ice my now cooled cake so I can get some sleep also! Night all!

May 10, 2010

Well for those of you that do not know. . .Anthony has been wanting to get into Outside Sales with his company for quite some time. When we met in the beginning of 2002 he had just started at Cameron . . .he was hired as an elctro-plater. When Caylea was about 1 he started in the machining shop as they closed down the plating area. He did well. . .worked nights that was hard on us but we made it through. Then he started in inside sales soon after Caylea turned 2. . .so about 4 years ago.

He had all but given up on Outside sales for now as it seemed every opportunity had fallen thru. We have talked about moving to several different cities over the years as he was interviewed for those jobs. The last few years the company has been not relocating much.

So he had applied for a job as manager of aftermarket for his same company a few months ago. Well he got it and was scheduled to start next Monday on the 19Th of April. So last Wednesday April 7Th he got a call from I think the district sales manager asking if he would be interested in relocating to Shreveport, LA. . .as they needed an outside salesman there and they did not want to loose him in the sales.

So anyways we got the offer yesterday and the start date of May 10Th today. He will have to train his replacement for the next week or so. Then we will have to go down to Shreveport for up to 7 days to find a place to live.

So my stomach is kinda queasy since yesterday. . . but I have had total peace about this and just knew it was going to happen since Anthony called me about the opportunity. So I know without a doubt it is God's will for our family right now. In the past when the opportunities came up I didn't want to go I prayed for God's will and it never worked out. . .God is so good. . .even though I don't fully want to go and I will miss my family and friends so very much at least I have total peace knowing it will all work out! Plus it's only 6 1/2 hours away so I know the kids and I will be back often to visit . . .Anthony probably won't be able to come back as often as we do but I am sure he will be back to visit soon also!

I want to say a special thank you to all of those special family and friends that prayed for us as all of this was happening we appreciate your support so very much! (((hugs)))

I do realize that some current relationships will grow stronger, some will remain similar to now and some will wither away. The distance will make it harder to maintain relationships but the one's who love us and we love will be important enough for the extra effort!

As hard as it is going to be I think a fresh start will be nice.

I am so proud of Anthony and all of the hard work this recognition has been a long time coming!

Ballerina Carolina

Caylea went to her cousin Olivia's house to play this afternoon and Caden was playing video games with Daddy so I got a chance to hang out with just Carolina. I asked her if she wanted to wear her tu-tu and take some pictures and of course she did. It was a little too bright when we took these. She wanted to do more I told her we would have to try this evening or maybe another evening. :)

Visiting with an Old Friend
.

Growing up on Bristow in Moore Oklahoma my sisters and I were very fortunate to each have a best friend on the street! Mine lived next door, Brandy's lived across the street and Amanda's lived down the street!

Today we are going to talk about Amanda's her name is Shirley! Shirley was always the sweetest girl. . . Shirley lived with her Grandpa and Aunt a few minutes down the road. Amanda would hop on her bike and be gone for who knows how long (well I am sure my mom knew). Sometimes the day and sometimes till the next day. Amanda and Shirley were inseparable at least from what I can remember!

Shirley eventually had to move away. The girls kept in touch probably more at first and maybe less as time went on.

I didn't speak with Shirley ever really after she moved I think until we were reconnected with first myspace and now facebook. It is great!

This weekend she came up to Edmond with her husband and two son's Dante and Lucas (who are just adorable!). It was so awesome to reconnect with her and have an afternoon/evening just chatting with a wonderful lady and friend! I know we are going to keep meeting . . .we already discussed meeting in the arbuckles soon this spring. When Anthony and I take the kids to a Rangers game we will have to meet up then also!

Great times you can not beat old life long friends!

Speaking of old life long friends. . .A friend I have known since I was born (in fact our mom's were best friends since 3rd grade!) just had her son after a very complicated pregnancy. She was only 27 weeks pregnant when they had to take him. Please keep them in your prayers. I won't post details as she is a very private person and I know she wouldn't appreciate it. But please just ask God to bless baby B I have no doubt He will know who you are talking about. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. My heart just aches for my friend, her husband, that precious 2 lb 9 oz baby and all of the family and friends who love him so very much! He is so very special and I can not wait to see what the Lord has in store for this little boy!

A few pictures

This afternoon I was on my way to the park and saw a patch of tree's. . .I thought I have my camera lets hop out and see what we can get before meeting our family/friends. . .So very quickly we hopped out and I am happy with what I got. I just wish I hadn't forgot my memory stick so I could of taken a lot more! My internal memory holds very few pictures.

I am so thankful my kids cooperated (probably mostly because they were ready to go play with their cousins :)

I will be trying again soon to see what we can do about the shadows and glares on the glasses :)

Easter Sunday

Easter what a beautiful day to celebrate all that my Father has done for me! I am so thankful that He is alive in Heaven and that I can talk to Him anytime, any day and that He is always there for me no matter what I do!

Blessed is all I can think to describe how I feel on this day!

You know life isn't perfect . . .it seems that there is always some kind of challenge. If your not challenged with something your probably not doing something right. I am trying (notice I said trying) to make sure that I use these challenging circumstances to grow myself in a way that will make me Honor the ONE who gave everything to me!

I hope that your Easter was blessed!

This post is a little heavy on pictures of my children, two of my sisters and their children and Anthony's sisters' 3 girls.

Egg Hunt

We had never taken our children to an egg hunt outside of doing one with family. We decided this year to go to our neighborhood egg hunt right down the road. I am so glad we did! The kids had so much fun! They got to hunt eggs and two of them even won prizes, bounce in the bounce house and a clown even made them all a "balloon animal". . .since they weren't actually animals. . .feel kinda funny calling them that. . .they were actually flowers and a sword.

Here are a few pic's from our morning. We are so looking forward to getting up early and being at sun rise service at church at 7:30 AM (well maybe not the getting up early part!) My brother in law is preaching that service. Then we will have a breakfast and then regular service after that. We will then come home and Anthony's family is coming over for lunch and to hang out. I am sure naps for all will follow that! Happy Easter everyone and don't forget why we celebrate it! I am so thankful that My Father in Heaven is not dead HE IS ALIVE INDEED!

Family Thursday, Easter Eggs and A Zoo Trip

Well I am behind on blogging. . .I had a few posts in my head from last week. . .however they may never get posted. I figure if I keep waiting to write about it all I will never start again so here goes skipping till today. . .at least for now who knows I may go back . . .if I have time.

So today is Thursday in our family it's family day. We spend it with my mom and sisters and our children. Since Amanda is working now we miss her but are so glad that Sam and Elizabeth have not had to miss one! Since Brandy or I watch them most days we are able to spend lots of time with them! :)

So today after lunch we decided to dye Easter Eggs. I was so excited about the fact that Caden can now do this. Although he didn't miss it because he knew nothing about it. He had a good time and really enjoyed it just as I think all of the kiddos did!

While we were hanging out at Mamas I decided that I was going to take my kids to the zoo for a few hours before heading home. So I told Brandy if she wanted to come pick up Elijah later I would take him with us. She agreed and he was so super excited to get to go with us. The kids were so good at the zoo. My kids love that new children's zoo and do not really want to do anything else right now. Between the petting zoo, the lorikeets and the water stream they are oh so happy there! In fact we have hardly done anything else since they opened it!

So we headed home around 5 the kids went into the backyard to play while I started dinner. It was such a nice day!

I am so really enjoying this weather especially since Anthony cleaned the attic fan yesterday! It is so nice, breezy and cool in our house and NO AIR!!!! I was cleaning yesterday, going thru the kids clothes, pulling out spring/summer clothing and straightening up the garage. I thought I was just hot because of all of the work all day. However when Anthony came home He was hot also. He cleaned the attic fan and turned it on! That thing makes the biggest difference! I think any house we ever have it will have to have one of those or we will have to put on in!

Tomorrow Anthony is off work so he and the girls are heading to Lowe's early to pick out some flowers to plant. Then we are spending the day in the backyard (weather permitting) to get it cleaned up for spring/summer!

Well I am off of here now. It is nice to (kinda) get caught up :)
