Parade's

A few weeks ago we were invited by one of Anthony's customers to go to a few mardi gras parades in Monroe. We had never been to one ~ these were family parade's. The first one was at the mall in Monroe. It was for kids. It was so cute with all the little kids in their little floats passing out candy and beads.

After the parade we all went to lunch. The other couple had 3 children also. It was a very nice time. When lunch was over we headed to wait for the pet parade.

I knew the pet parade would be a great time for my girls especially for Caylea. She loved seeing all of the animals and taking pictures. She is already planning on putting our dogs into the parade next year. . . .we shall see.

Caden wouldn't have a thing to do with the beads all day. However when we got home he wore them for quite a little while. Silly boy!

Baseball and Brother

Today we drove to Shreveport to watch my brother Lawrence play Baseball. I had a great day with my family and watching my brother pitch. Two games were a little much for my little one's they were over it before the end. They did great though. And it was a great day! I love my family!

I will have other pictures to share later however not tonight. I am not sure what is going on with my kids but when we got home they were all feeling sickly. I hope it can be chalked up to a long day of being outside.

Plum Blossoms

I noticed this beautiful sight in my backyard.

I hope we get to eat some yummy Plum's this year!

Now I see why my eyes, ears and throat are itchy.

Our window's have been open for over a week ~ I am loving this weather. It is 80 degree's today . . .although cloudy and a little windy so it feels very nice!

Our Day

We had a great day today. Got up early, while Caylea completed her school work Carolina, Caden and I played a few board games and then we had lunch. While Caden was napping Caylea, Carolina and I got out in the back yard and worked on getting our million and a half leaves raked up. We filled up a whole big trash can. After Caden napped we all played outside. Caden was so cute with his golf set running around the backyard hitting balls. I am going to have to get pictures of that soon. I made dinner for my family then we went to church.

Carolina and Caden playing uno moo

Carolina and Caden playing Candy Land. I was so impressed with how well Caden can play games now. . .as in taking turns and understanding the gist of the game. He even counted the colored spaces on Candy Land very well. My babies are getting so big and we have so much fun!

The kids and I at church waiting for church to start. I love my babies! They are the best!

The Hubble

I took my kids to the Sci-port last week and they have a new exhibit about the Hubble. Caylea loved it so very much! I want to take her back sometime and let her look longer. We didn't see it till right before we left and Carolina and Caden were ready to leave.

I do not know what my little 7 year old is going to do with her life. However I am sure it will be great. She is very passionate about learning and the things that interest her she could read about and study for hours!

The Beast Feast

Have no idea what I am talking about? Well I didn't either until the other day. We were invited to go with some people from our church to another church in Shreveport. It was nice to get out of the house with my family and do something different.

Basically I guess the jist of it is they eat all kinds of dishes made with wild meat. It was interesting I am not even sure what all I tried. However I know I ate several things I have never had before. The kids did also. In fact Caden loved the catfish!

Actually there were bags of peanuts sitting on the tables and Carolina sat next to me and filled up on peanuts. Caden did really well staying away from them. I told Caylea since she wasn't actually allergic to peanuts she could have them since they were in the shell. She tried one but wasn't impressed. I think that is one of those things that will take time.

Caden and I waiting on Daddy to get ready before we left

Tomorrow we are doing something else we haven't ever done. We were invited to a mardi gras parade parade with a couple and they have children. So I imagine it will be a fun day. We just have to get up a little early because Monroe is almost 2 hours away.

Vacation

I read this saying in another blog today and loved it! It is one that I plan on remembering everyday!

"Imagine waking up tomorrow with only the things you have thanked God for today."

Last night for some reason I got on Myspace which I haven't been on in forever. I only keep it around because I wrote some blogs on there I need to transfer and print for my children. Anyways I was looking at these pictures from our first trip to S. Padre. I can't wait for our vacation this spring. We are going to Florida to spend a week at the BEACH! YAY!

So here are my 3 and I seeing the Ocean for the first time

Caylea playing on the beach (4 years old)

Mudbugs

Last week while Anthony was out of town our Pastor offered to help me by keeping Caden for a little while. He took him to his first Ice Hockey game so I sent my little Cannon camera. Caden had the best time and I appriecated the time to spend with my girls!

Different

My Mom sent me this picture a little while ago

I looked out in my backyard and this is what I saw

I noticed that our grass is even starting to have a tint of green to it again! YAY!

It is cold here today however not as cold as it is in Oklahoma!

We did get a lot of rain this morning.

The kids and I are just hanging around the house today. It's kinda hard on me when Anthony is out of town since we moved. I do not really have anyone to hang out with so I look forward to church even more than normal! I had considered going to Oklahoma this week however among other things the fact that Brandy and her family were going out of town and the above pictured weather I decided it would be best for us to stay put!

All of you Okie's stay safe and warm! (((hugs)))
