Mommy's Day

Mother's Day weekend was very special here. My husband knew I was wanting to be home with my Mom and Sisters so he and our kids made it super special here at home. Friday the girls and I went for ped's. I also took all three of my children and myself for haircut's that day. Caden really needed it and so did Caylea. Carolina and I just joined in for fun!

Saturday Anthony took the kids shopping for some new flowers that I am enjoying each and everyday. They also picked out some very nice rocking chairs for the back porch so that we can relax outside.

While Anthony was re potting the flowers I took the kids to the pool. They LOVE LOVE to swim! They would go everyday if I would take them. Our rule is that they ALWAYS keep their life jackets/floaties on. I am able to watch them, chat, take pictures and even read some while we are there it's so nice. I know when it gets more hot outside I will be spending more time in the pool with the kids. I am praying that I will be able to work with Caylea on swimming while we are in Florida next week. I know she can do it if she would just trust herself. She did it last year! (I have to be in the pool though at this time when floaties are off so she hasn't really got the practice)

Mother's Day Caylea was baptised. She got saved last fall. However she shared with us she was scared to be baptised our Pastor said not to rush her let he come to us and ask. So I made sure she saw Baptisms when we had them at church. I answered her questions as she asked them. One Sunday a family was baptised a Mom, Dad, Son and Daughter. The next several days she asked a whole lot of questions then all of a sudden she wanted to do it right then. I told our Pastor and he said okay we will do it Sunday.

What a beautiful picture of our Lord's Death, Burial and Resurrection.

Phone Pictures

Just been trying to keep busy lately. I have never been an outside garden type person. However that might be changing. I actually planted this grass all by myself! Look how great it looks less than two weeks later. It looks so great it needs to be mowed.

We went to Lowe's and bought some flowers a couple of weeks ago. Anthony and I planted them! I love them Anthony has always been the one to work in our yard. However now that the kids are getting older we can all get out there. The day we planted the flowers the kids "washed" Anthony's truck for hours! LOL I think he had the cleanest truck in town ~ At least the bottom 3 feet!

Caylea and I planted some wild flower seeds. The plants are starting to sprout however I didn't realize that this flower bed doesn't get any direct sunlight. So we may not be seeing any actual flowers here.

This morning I planted this tomato plant in a topsy turvy. We shall see how it goes. I moved it already once because I was concerned it wouldn't get enough direct sun light to make tomatoes!

The kids planted these this morning. Caylea's is a sunflower, Carolina's a pink zinna and Caden chose a cucumber :) The kids are wanting to plant a big garden back in the "garden" area this weekend. If Anthony will help with the initial work I will be more than happy to help the kids keep it up. We shall see if time allows this weekend.

This morning Caylea helped me by cutting veggies for some yummy soup. The soup turned out wonderful! I really hope that Caylea enjoys cooking more than I do! If her attitude thus far means anything she will!

Some things that have just popped up in our backyard recently. Some onions ~ Caden found them and loves them. I am just thankful that he is washing them before he eats them this year! That stinky boy!

I think this is garlic however I am not completely sure. I guess we will find out soon enough!

Our plum tree has tons of little bitty plums on it! I hope that lots of them ripen! YUM! The fig tree won't produce fruit till later in the summer really late actually. I think the two Apple tree's are dead. I am not completely hopeless but they don't look well! They are very small and in the front yard so they will be easy enough to cut down if they are indeed gone.

Caylea working on her school work at the hotel last week. If she stays on schedule she will be finished with school next wednesday. We are ready for summer break!

Caylea and Carolina at the hotel pool last week.

Carolina loves to do my hair. This was late one night when she was the only child awake. I love it when I get time with one of my children alone.

Other news Carolina has two loose teeth. My little 5 year old baby girl is fixing to get a change to her little baby face forever! She is so completely excited!

Caylea will be getting baptized next Sunday. What a perfect Mother's Day for me. When she got saved last fall we talked with her about baptism but she was fearful. We have taken the last several months to explain it to her. She has seen several others being baptized. We have also went back and looked at the baptismal. We have talked with Caylea and are convinced that she is truly saved so she is ready to take this next step now.

The kids loved playing ball with their cousins so I went and bought them all a ball and glove. The girls were playing catch earlier today. Carolina didn't have her glove at first I asked her where her glove was she told me she was the pitcher like Uncle Lawrence and didn't need a glove. I informed her that the pitcher has to also catch the ball so yes she did need a glove. She was more than excited to go get her glove on!

Scott, Louisiana

Last week the kids and I went with Anthony down to South Louisiana. We stayed at a hotel in Scott. The very nearby town that the International Festival is in is Lafayette.

My 3 at the pool at the hotel.

Caden at the Internatial Festival in Lafayette.

Neighborhood Pool

The kids and I are so thankful for our neighborhood pool. These are from the first visit this summer! Anthony and I plan on taking all 3 of the kids to swimming lessons this summer. The public pool's don't open til June 1st ~ There is one pretty near our house that offers swimming lesson's. Our neighborhood pool is open from April 1 through the end of September. So we have lots of swimming left for this year :)

Caden was so cute jumping in and holding his nose. . .I will add video later however the pictures are loading slow here tonight so I don't even want to think about how slow a video would add.

Just had an idea I am going to try to add a link from Facebook not sure if it will work.

Summer

My kids enjoying the backyard.

Wednesday night ready for church.

Coloring Easter Egg

Missed being with my family for Easter Egg coloring and just for Easter in general. We had a very nice Easter here. However you just can't replace family!

I am also going to be missing my family this weekend for Mothers Day.

Easter Morning before church

Caylea's Restaurant

My Caylea is such a sweet girl. She likes to serve others and be helpful. A few weeks ago she looked in the pantry and fridge. Went and made menu's and then she took every one's order. Next think I knew she was making dinner for each and every family member. Precious!

An Almost Wordless Wednesday Post

I just haven't felt like blogging lately. However I want to get pictures up so that there is not a huge gap in time.

Trip to Aunt Connie and Uncle Randy's feeding cows. Also a trip to Calvin's farm. My kids had the best time with all of the animals. I think the kids and I could easily become county folks (not so sure about my husband).
