Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Today Caden's class did a snack project with the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.  Mrs. Green asked me to come and help supervise and take pictures.  Of course I loved it!

Look at my big boy walked right into class, sat down and started his project!

Of course since Caden is not one to take his time with Projects he finishes them rather quickly.

Caden and a few buddies (I do not know names yet that will take me some time)

Caden and his snack project

After school Caden and the girls rode the bus home.  I wanted to get a picture with Mrs. P since I did not get a good one yesterday.

Carolina and Mrs. P

Caylea and Mrs. P

Aubrey and Mrs. P

Leah had been at our house hanging out when the bus came so we decided to hit the pool.

My precious girls

I do not think he could be much more silly!  Love this little face!

Carolina has been working on her cartwheels.  Of course I did not get a picture of one of her really good one's.  She is improving daily!

Caylea chilling.  Most of the time we were at the pool it was busy.  Then all of a sudden it was empty.  I think everyone went home for dinner.  We enjoyed it for quite a while being the only one's there.  Then Leah and I were just sitting and talking and the kids were doing their thing and all of a sudden there is thunder!  We got out of there really quick!  It was time to get home and work on making dinner anyways!

First Day of Kindergarten for Caden

Caden was so excited to go to school.  I didn't even realize how exited until the last few days before he started!

Kindergarten starts one week after the rest of the grades.

I am so blessed!  When I was sad this day after Anthony and I left the school and were getting coffee.  Anthony said that I have done a great job with them and should enjoy this time where I can do somethings that I would like to do.  Even though it makes me sad how fast they have grown I am so proud of who they are!

God really knew what He was doing putting us at this school!  I was not even interested in knowing about the schools when we moved here.  God knew what the future would hold though so He placed us right were we needed to be.  My kids are at one of the top schools around.  It has an A rating and they are pretty strict about things but that is something that I would of looked for and like!

Caden my precious baby boy!  Five years old!  Almost seems impossible!

My beautiful 9 year old girl!  How I love her!  She has the sweetest heart!  Always has!  As she is getting older I can see how she is morphing into a butterfly right before me!  I couldn't stop it if I wanted to.  Oh how I wanted to last year when she was begging to go to public school.  Being in school for Caylea has forced me to learn to trust her and other people with her food allergies.  She is so responsible.  Not that she never messes up or makes a bad choice but thankfully God has protected her through it all.  She needs these experiences now rather than waiting till she is older.  I think if she was still home with me her confidence in this area especially would never have grown.  What I want to for her is for her to be okay with who she is and how careful she needs to be with food and for it not to be emotional but only factual!  I think she is there not sure she would be if she didn't have this experience or if it was much later!  I am so thankful to God for this because only He could of brought it all into play.  Me I would of been too scared to ever take the step by myself!

I think Mrs.  Miller was the perfect teacher for Caylea last year.  She is strict but she also really cares which is just what Caylea and I both needed!  Caylea has her again this year because Mrs. Miler changed grades.  In 4th they team teach and we love her other teacher Mrs. Baily also!  I also think this is perfect because it will transition Caylea to no Mrs. Miller next year!

Also Mrs. Miller introduced us to our great friends Leah, Rob and Aubrey! This friendship was just meant to be!  They live on the next street and our kids love each other!  We couldn't ask for better Christian friends here in Louisiana!

Carolina how sweet she is!  Carolina is my love bug!  She has been practicing gymnastics every since her first class and her cartwheel looks so awesome!  I can not wait until she can start her class every week!  I know she is going to get better and better with each day!! I see a gymnast in our future!  I love her sweet spirit! I love her confidence!  She loves everyone and doesn't worry about what others think but yet notices someone who is sad and will go see if she can help them.  I love this about her!  She just loves people!

Now this little boy rocks and amazes me everyday!  If you know him and had watched him over the past you would know he doesn't like to be away from Anthony or I.  We never make him.  You know why because I just enjoy my kids.  I love being with them.  So he would go with us at church or wherever and it was fine.  Well I was worried about school and this issue.  I think this made it all the better.  This boy has the best confidence of anyone I know and NEVER meets a stranger!  Watching him walk into that Kindergarten room the first and second day just floored me!  He has a few things to learn like staying in his seat and not getting up every 2 minutes to show his teacher something but that will come in time.  Having him up there all of the time last year and actually in the same room with the same teacher so much defiantly helped!  I think this is going to give him the great wonderful start that I have been praying for! I can not wait to help out and be up there with him as much as I was for Carolina's Kindergarten year!

Did I mention that I am blessed ~ just look at these precious kids!

Caden ready for us to leave him! He didn't even Flinch ~ I was tempted to stick around but knew better why mess up a good thing?  Although I have every confidence now that it wouldn't of mattered!  He would of done great either way!

Mom really? LOL

Okay I 'll smile if you let me do my thing!

Poor Mrs. Green was so busy but paused for a picture for me with Caden!  We love her and know this year is going to ROCK!

I went back up to the school to take Caylea her Epi-Pens she forgot. I ran by Caden's class to check on him and was trying to hide but one of the kids fell and Mrs. Green needed to get a band-aid for him so she asked me to watch the kids. I took a few pictures (my camera fogged up) and as the kids were walking away I heard a little boy say to Caden "hey your Mom is leaving" Caden said "I know because I am in big boy school now!"

So impressed with this little boy!  Last year most of the year Carolina always wanted to go home with me when I left.  She loved school just had a hard time with me leaving her.  Not Caden ~ I think he is going to thrive on independence

They are off to their first day of music!

We love Mrs. P she was our bus driver last year!  I love that she is willing to use an epi if she needs (not all bus drivers are) and that she has my cell phone number so she text me with any questions or concerns. She is just the sweetest lady we are blessed to have her care for our children!

Caden's first trip on the bus!  He looked forward to this day for almost a year!

Last Day as a Preschooler

Most of these are phone pictures.  Caden and I really enjoyed our last day as Mommy and Preschooler to the fullest.  First we spent our morning snuggling and playing Wii mario kart and star wars.  Then Caden chose to go to Newk's for lunch not because he LOVES the food (although we all do) but because he wanted the pickles.  He loves the bread and butter pickles there.

We had a great lunch and really enjoyed our silly and sweet time together!

Newk's famous (or not) pickles.

Caden then wanted to go to Target to look at toys and of course we had to stop and check out the wii and ds games.  He has became such a big boy!  Also so smart I have no doubt he will do wonderfully this year!

When we got home we had about an hour before the girls were do home.  So he played a little starfall on the computer.  Then he wanted to paint.  So I pulled out the Color wonder and he got to work!

Waiting for the bus.  Tomorrow he will be getting off of it!!!

I got this off of Facebook today.  Made me bawl like a baby.

He isn't even there yet.  He is tucked in his bed sleeping and I miss him so much!

Mario Kart

Leah let the kids borrow some games for the wii.  They love Mario Kart!  I do too!  I see us getting this very soon!

My kids have been fighting like crazy lately.  I really want to find a book my pediatrician recommended when Carolina was born.  I need to quite saying it and find it.  Maybe it would have some helpful advice on this topic.

However tonight I found this!  I love it!  Anytime they are nice or sweet to each other I am going to find a way to reward it!

Our time at Baptist Tabernacle has been good.  I am slow to get comfortable around new people but people are so friendly it hasn't been hard for me.  Today was the first day in a long time I have gotten anxious about the food allergy issue.  Everyone has been so great and understanding I haven't even had to question what anyone's intentions where or if my kids would be safe.  Now really Caylea is my main worry because her reactions prove to be severe where Caden has outgrown the one's I knew how he reacted to.  He only has tree nuts left and he has never had one.  I tend to want to believe his first exposure won't be life threatening but of course we have epi pens always if needed.

Anyways Caden had a hard time going to class today for the first time since the first time he went to Sunday school.  I am not sure what his deal was.  It could of been because Anthony is going to be out of town for 3 days or maybe it is because he is anxious about school starting Thursday.  I am not sure but either way he took some coaxing.  He came in crying I stayed for a minute spoke with the teacher about their donuts.  (At Baptist Tabernacle it seems the kids always have something to eat during the SS hour and most of the time also during Children's church~ I took Caylea snacks to leave there but we just grab one for Caden~ my next step is to leave him some safe snacks in his class he stays in the same room for Sunday School and Childrens  Church this year!)

So I looked at the donuts and mentioned they weren't safe but handed his teacher his safe honey bun.  She said they also had gold fish which we had talked about before were okay.  I went up to my life group had class.  When I came back down stairs for church I decided to risk it and take a peak at him.  He was eating a donut.  Now I knew there weren't nuts in the donuts just risk of cross contamination
.  I tried to blow it off and just went to church.  It was bothering me though because I was worried about the future and if his teacher understood.

Anthony said talk to Caden first and see what he said.  I think I was more worried about offending his teacher than anything else.  So I thought I'll talk to him pray about it and talk to her next week.  Well during hand shaking time during service we ended up running into each other.  She asked about what he was allergic to and so I felt I should just ask her.  She said both her and Caden misunderstood me and thought I said the donuts were safe.  (I can not wait for him to be old enough to read the labels like his sister~she may not get it 100% of the time but it's close)

She was worried and wanted to go check on him and talk to the Children's church teacher.  I told her he was fine he would let us know if he didn't feel well.  I am actually more worried about actual nuts with him.  We avoid the warning labels more as a precaution for Caylea and also to protect him in the future.  My hope is that with NO exposure he will outgrow this last allergy.

I will be making allergist appointments soon.  We haven't been since right before we moved.  I wanted to give the kids a break from the testing and constant appointments.  I really didn't feel it necessary to go every few months.  I have heard a lot of good things about this one allergist last time I called it was a 2 month waiting list so I think a lot of people must like her.

I am going to try to get back into writing more.  I've been pretty lazy about it and focusing more on my pictures but I think my kids need some more words to go along with their picture memories!  (not that they need this about allergies lol this was more for me)

I'm Diving In

Today was Carolina and Caden's first time to jump off of the diving board with no floaties.

Anthony was always down there in the water with Caden each time he jumped.  He did great I don't think he ever needed help but Dad was there just in case. Very good job big boy!

Leah and I laid out most of the day.  I got out to take some pictures and Caylea stole my chair and chatted with Leah!  I also left my phone facing up in the sun while I was taking pictures and it over heated.  Thankfully it was fine once I took it inside for a break and then left it in my camera bag.  Lesson learned!

Carolina loved jumping in with Mr. Rob.  Anthony was busy supervision Caden while he was jumping off of the diving board.  They sure did enjoy making up their own silliness.  It was super cute!

She is a great little swimmer!

I would say that Anthony and Rob have a lot in common . . .both of them are big kids is one of them.  I also found out last night after or cook out while playing games that they are both really competitive.  They both also enjoy golf and played this morning.  So we met at the country club instead of our neighborhood pool.  A nice change.

Super fun weekend.

Caylea with her teacher Mrs. Miller

Love her too!

Carolina with her teacher Mrs. Elgin

Sweet Sweet Lady!

We are excited to get to know her!

Carolina was a little unsure about me leaving her.  It was breaking my heart.  I was tempted to let the goodbye's drag out but I didn't.  Partly because I had to get Medicine checked in with the school nurse.

She told me she cried a little after I left :(

Broke my heart!

When I checked on her a little later she looked very content.

After school she was so happy.

Caylea and Carolina both had a great day at school.  They both came home excited and talking about everything that happened until after 5.  I was so happy to listen to them and be excited for each new thing they talked about or did today.

The best first day EVER!
