Winter Storm. . . HA HA!!

So we got all the groceries we needed and some luxery items (ie movies, popcorn) all out and ready for this big snow storm that was going to leave us house bound for at least a day. HA HA!!

Needless to say no snow ever stuck to the ground! The kids were all geared up to bundle up and build a snow man today. . .didn't happen! They were obviously dissapointed.

Oh well the day left me feeling recharged because I got to cuddle with my hubby and watch two movies in between playing games with the kids and giving baths(ex. . .ie being a mommy). I am fixing to cuddle with my hubby on the couch and watch our 3rd movie for the day. I don't think we have ever watched 3 movies in one day!

In fact I only jumped on the computer a few times here and there to check on some babies that I have been praying for.

Okay I am off to enjoy the rest of this "WINTER STORM" LOL

Update

Ashley went home today . . .from what I can tell from reading her blog.

Ashley's mom has posted some other children that can use our prayers on her blog if you want to visit there and get the list.

Stellan had a rough day . . .God is good and his family is strong but they all still need as many pray warriors as they can get.

Hi/Lo Thursday

This post is part of "Hi/Lo Thursday" on the Riggs Family Blog. Check out their blog to read everyone else's "Hi/Lo" posts and get your link on their site.

Hi's

Photobucket

Our Zoo Day on Monday had a blast hanging with family. I also loved watching Caylea get to hang with some older children that is more rare for her than I like.

Photobucket

Getting to hang with my men Monday night and Tuesday morning. It was such a nice, quite, relaxing time. This also ment that my girls got to go to their Aunt Patsy's and have a slumber party with Patsy, Taylor and Ryan and they had such a great time. I will share pictures from that as soon as I get them all :)

Photobucket

Getting to send Caylea with my best friend and her friend Isaac to play at the park while I went to clean the mission cottage and Brandy watched the smaller children play at the park at church. It was most wonderful to get this picture :)

Photobucket

Getting to hang with my cousin and her daughter for a little while this morning. It was great to see them and get "caught up". We love them and miss them very much as life has changed and we don't get to see them near as much as we use to.

Photobucket

Getting to watch my oldest daughter be such a good big cousin to little Sarah bear. It is so sweet to see how much she loves that little baby girl. She even wants me to have another baby. LOL not gonna happen but still very sweet. She is an awesome big sister and an awesome big cousin :)

Lo's

Taking my daughters to the eye doctor. . .well Caylea's eyes are pretty close to the same that they were last year the prescription is still a +6.50 and +7.00 but he said it changed a little so it must of been the astigmatism that changed.

However I learned that Carolina is also far sighted just like Caylea and I. She is a +3 in both eyes which is worse than mine. Dr. Richard wants to watch her closely and wants us to keep a close eye on her for any crossing. He also says it's important to get Caden in to see him soon so he has an appointment for next month. I am crossing my fingers that he will have perfect eyes. He has enough going on I really don't want to have to fight him to wear glasses.

oh and this is neither hi nor lo but I wanted to put it on the blog for future record b/c I am so bad about writting stuff down. I weighed all of the children this morning: Caylea is 48 lbs (75%), Carolina is 28 lbs (12%) and Caden is 23 lbs (8%) - I want to measure them to get their height soon maybe tomorrow. . .for now I am off to snuggle with my girls :) Nighty~Night

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Photobucket

Yep me I know I've a been a slacking. I haven't even taken very many pic's lately . . . well until yesterday. We had a great weekend though. Anthony went with the guys from church to a mens conference in Kansas. So All day Friday I hung out with my sister Brandy. Then Friday night some of us ladies that had our husbands gone got together to hang out. I really can't believe I didn't get any pic's of all the kids we had in one house that was crazy! Fun but defiantly CRAZY!!!

Photobucket

Then Saturday Brandy and Amanda came over and hung out with us and then we ran to Babies R Us. My brother Nathan and his wife Bre' met me back at my house so Nathan could check out my laptop that had been giving me problems. It's all fixed now :) Thanks to Nathan working on it. I am so thankful that I got all my pic's off of it I was stressing that I would lose some but I didn't :)

Photobucket

We had church on Sunday and it was Pastor's Birthday so Rae made him the coolest cake! If you ever need a cool cake and your in the OKC area I can hook you up! She has done all of my children's Birthday cakes with the exception of Caylea's first not sure what happened there. At this point I wouldn't trust anyone else to make them a cake and her's are way cooler than any store bought cake. . .HE HE I am not partial but she is my best friend.

Photobucket

Monday we went to the zoo it was a little chilly to start with but soon warmed up plenty. Anthony was off work and we went with his Aunt Patsy and his Grandma Ina and Taylor, Ryan and Daxx. I also had Sam while Poor Amanda did her glucose screening. yuk!

Photobucket

The girls stayed the night with Patsy last night so I dropped them off after I dropped Anthony and Caden off at home so Bubba could get a nap. My girls were so excited to stay with Patsy. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are still having a blast. I am going to go pick them up in a little while to take them to the eye doctor to get their eyes checked. I can't wait to hear all about their fun! We are so thankful to have Patsy in our children's lives (and ours) she brings so much joy to their lives.

Photobucket

After we had naps Anthony, Caden and I went down to the Murrah building memorial it was so beautiful and peacful there. I think I have only been there one other time and it was pretty busy last night there were only a few others there and it was really nice.

Photobucket

Of course no night with only Caden would be complete without a trip to Pole Position to watch the go carts with daddy. He loved it of course :)

Well I am off of here now I have to get ready for the day.

I hope you all are having a great St. Patricks day and an awesome Spring Break!

Your gonna miss this. . .moment

I am so gonna miss giving my son a bath in the sink (the girls are already too big obviously). . .soon enough this will be ending. . .as he is close to outgrowing our little sink right now.

Tuesday's . . .Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I most certainly did not put off writing my Not Me Monday post until early evening on Tuesday. I would never do that! I LOVE blogging and I would never go more than a day between posts on our family blog.

I most certainly did not think that my 3 year old daughter ate over a whole pack of sugar free gum last night. . .nope not me b/c if I did I surely would of been freaking out and calling the ped. ASAP. . .only to find out that she just opened all of the pieces and left the trash in her bedroom floor and put all of the gum back into the diaper bag. . .Most certainly this would never happen in my house I watch my children much better than that.

My daughter did not take the IOWA test last week and if she did I most certainly can not wait to get the results back to prove to my husband that we have a smart daughter that is doing very well home schooling and not every home school child suffers academically from being home schooled. Nope not me I would never feel the need to prove my ability to home school our 5 year old first grader to my husband.

I most certainly did not let my 20 month old scream and cry while holding on to the vacuum cleaner for a good 10 minutes hoping he would give up. . .Nope I defiantly would of given into him and stayed there ALL DAY! And while we were there cleaning the mission cottage I defiantly would not have been oblivious that he also unplugged the refrigerator for our Pastors wife to find the next day. NO!!! I would defiantly of realized he did that.

I DO NO just give up sometimes and let my son plug in (and unplug. . .repeatedly) his vacuum cleaner after HE TAKES OUT the child protectors. NOPE not me I would never allow him to be in danger like that.

I do not enjoy putting baby magic on my son even though I know it's not good for his skin just so I can smell him. I would never be so selfish as to do that just for my smelling pleasure!

I do not sit next to my daughter and write a not me Monday post while she working on her school work not me I am a much better teacher than that I never let myself be distracted during her "school time". Of course if I did that I would be at her beck and call for any questions or encouragement :)

Bumper to bumper traffic

Our neighbor gave Caden a little red jeep

Photobucket

He loves it. . . and so do the girls (Carolina is probably actually the best fit size wise for it)

Photobucket

And then out of no where we started having problems

At first it was just bumper to bumper traffic

Photobucket

Then there was a wreck

Photobucket

Don't worry though no one was injured

Could a week end any better?

Photobucket

Photobucket

We have enjoyed our week. . .well except for the being sick part. Caylea got to experience some new things while I got a little time with my two youngest. I also got to hang out and chat with my friend Heather while are daughters were being tested.

By Friday I was feeling mostly better so we made a zoo trip with some friends from church. It was a lot of fun. They all headed home after we had lunch though. That wasn't enough for my kids and I so we continued to walk around and take in some more of the beautiful day. After we were done looking at all we wanted to see we headed over to the park to play for a little while. The kids were totally worn out by the time we left this is what they looked like on the drive to Edmond to meet Gabriel's mommy.

Photobucket

Then last night I headed to the church that I grew up in and attended until I joined Edmond Road. Bodine still feels like home to me. It is so familiar and the people there I feel genuinely love my family and I. It was so nice and felt so good to chat with and see everyone. I only wish I had taken pictures.

There is so much more I could say about my feelings surrounding my visit there but I won't. It was just nice. And way too long in between visits.

Our Hi's

Photobucket

Photobucket

Caylea went this week 3 mornings to take the Iowa standardized test. I was kinda worried about her with her food allergies and the fact she has never been in a classroom setting besides church. She did really well it made me so proud. I was also concerned that she was going to want to continue to go to school. The first day she asked if it was her new school and seemed sad when I said she is only going there for the test for 3 mornings. By the third day though she was glad that she didn't have to go back everyday . . .I think she realizes how good she has it.

The weather is warming up that is super exciting to me. We are suppose to go to the zoo tomorrow :)

Lo's

I am sick so I had to miss bunko (mommy's night) tonight and I am praying that I rested enough today and will feel well enough (no fever) tomorrow and get to go to the zoo with my kiddos and friends.

Your gonna miss this . . .moment

My Your Gonna Miss This. . .Moment this week is kinda two-fold.

Photobucket

I look back at my childhood and my Grandma Apple plays a big role in the happy times that I remember. I already miss spending more time with her. I hope it's a long time away but I know that she is getting older and someday won't be here. Just the thought of that makes me want to cry. I long so much for my kids to have a Grandparents like I did that just make them feel loved and special. I think that most of the time we went to stay the night with Grandma it was just one of us so that alone coming from a family with 4 kids gave you one on one attention. Oh and the love it is unconditional!

I know that God has blessed us by putting people in our lives that love our kids. Their Auntie Brandy and Amanda get to spend a lot of time together and my kids love them to death. Anthony's Aunt Patsy is such a blessing in their lives also I know that she loves the kids and I know that they love her. God has blessed them. . .God has blessed all of us with great family, friends and a great church family.

The other part is that little baby in the picture. Although I miss all of my kids being babies I think I will miss Caden's baby day's the most. Probably because he is my last baby and I have tried so hard to cherish, hang on, absorb every moment of it. For I knew from past experience that time was fleeting and he would soon be growing up. I think the Birthday of my nephew Alex being today has got me thinking. My son is almost 2 years old. I can hardly believe it.

Caden and Patsy the day he was born

Photobucket

Caden and Carolina it's hard to believe that she was his age when he was born. . .I don't think I realized I had two babies at the same time.

Photobucket

Caden the day we left the hospital he was not suppose to be born till after July 4th so two great friends of mine went and got him this cute little shirt to celebrate his first holiday. . .Although all we did was go home.

Photobucket

The first picture of me with all 3 of my babies
