Who wants to go to the park with us?

Who wants to go to the Park with us?

The self proclaimed Princess's are now ready . . .

I should of gotten a picture of them in their dress up clothes and their make-up but I wasn't ready. . .

Boy I have missed out blogging it has been a week since I posted. . .not too much to catch up on zoo and park trips, playing/working in the backyard, a few sickness's in my children, a sad sad blood draw for Caden and a broken computer monitor. All is well now and we are heading to the park . . .catch up later :)

Caden's Eye Appointment

Photobucket

Caden's eye appointment was today. I was really quite nervous since Dr. Brown told me when I took Carolina and her eyes were pretty far sighted also that obviously my "bad eye genes were dominate". I just felt like between the food allergies Caylea already having to wear "strong" lenses that cost way more than a normal lens and Carolina possibly at any moment needing glasses also. We have our share. I know it could be worse. I read enough blogs and message boards to know that life can be a whole lot worse. At this time I will choose to feel blessed that God doesn't allow more on us that we can handle.

The news after Caden getting his eye's dilated and checked out - which he was a good little trooper. Caden is only at a +1 (far-sighted) he guarantee's no glasses for at least 3 years and wants to see him at the end of 3 years.

Our funny today

My 5 1/2 year old Caylea was helping me make my bed. . .all of a sudden I hear "EWWW GROSS THAT IS DISCUSTING!!!!" . . .I said what is gross Caylea? She said "He left his dirty underpants on the floor!" LOL I couldn't stop laughing! Then I asked her to hand them to me "NO WAY I AM NOT TOUCHING THEM!!!" . . .She is so much like her mommy!

~~~~ Fixing to go to the park. . .no rain yet~~~~ :)
update
I took my 3 blessings to the park without my camera and we had a blast. I kinda wish I had my camera because they are just so cute. However I DO have a million pictures of them playing at the park and since it was "supose to" rain I refained from taking it. The slides were wet (so I guess we did get a little rain last night but nothing else was wet at all) but I brushed off the water the best that I could and their little bottoms dried off the last little bit that was left :) The two little one's are sleeping and Caylea and I are getting close to finishing up her school for the day :)
Our Busy Week
Monday was our grocery shopping day. It seems like by the time I get the shopping list made out, get the kids ready to go, get to the grocery store, get our groceries, check out and get back home the day is about over. Seriously I think it was almost 3:00 before we even got home. So by the time I got the groceries put away, completed Caylea's school and made dinner the day was truly over. The high point of this grocery shopping Monday was that I went to the Edmond Walmart because I had to run by the bank and we met my sisters there! Even though it's more craziness I wouldn't trade shopping (even grocery shopping) with my sisters and their kids for anything!
Tuesday we took Angel to the park over here by our house. Then we went to Patsy's she trimmed Angels nails for us and we hung out for a little while. She also gave me some awesome coupons so we went to Homeland and picked up a few really cheap groceries. You can click on Melissa's blog (she is Patsy's daughter-Patsy is Anthony's Aunt) button over there on the right. It is the Consumer Queen she has a message board you can join also to help you get started it's really a great thing!
After our shopping trip we came home, laid the two younger ones down for a nap and worked on Caylea's school with her. After naps we got up and went back to Patsy's for a little bit (well after dinner-we didn't expect her to feed us. . .lol). Caylea wanted to take her dog's some bones that Angel wouldn't eat and some beggin' strips. We went out and showed Caden the cat room for the first time he thought it was so awesome! Then we went and feed the dog's some bones. They really seemed to enjoy them and I know my kids loved it!
Wednesday we got up and went to my mom's for the day it was lots of fun to hang with my sisters and mom for the day. The kids had a blast over there like always! Then we went to Church the girls had light brigade and Caden played in the nursery with all of his friends and Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Heather. He had so much fun he didn't want to leave with me when I went to pick him up. Probably mostly because they had the vacuum going but still must of been fun in there right?!?!
Photobucket
Today was beautiful outside a little windy maybe. . .well defiantly but you couldn't beat the temperature. We went to the zoo first stop was the dinosaurs. I think I liked them much better the first time. I think it was the aww factor. This time I knew what to expect. Then we went to lunch it's always a blast with my 3 and Whitnee's 4 (her 2 plus her niece and nephew). Really it's not bad the older kids actually sat at a table next to us today and they were so good :) Then we headed to the aquarium walked around there a bit before heading down to the park.
Caylea was such a good big sister helping with Caden she just followed him around the whole time and helped him up when he needed it. It was so cute to watch my big girl be such a good big sister! Then he wanted to swing for really quite a long while so Caylea got to be a kid and run around with Ash, Kristen and Carolina. Honestly that was equally as cute to watch. By that time it was pushing 2:00 if not after so we headed home. My two youngest were out before we pulled into the driveway. Got them into bed and sat down with Caylea to work on her school work.
This evening I made beef stew for the first time. I can't say I was impressed with my first attempt but it wasn't bad. I cooked the potatoes too long and the carrots not long enough other than that good flavors.
It is suppose to rain all day tomorrow so I am thinking we won't be going anywhere. Staying home actually sounds good to me after the busy week we had. I love my life, I love that my kids and I get to do so many fun things and spend everyday together. I am however going to enjoy sitting at home with my 3 blessings and getting caught up on some housework . . .who knows I may even stay in my jammies all day (that is until almost 5 when hubby comes home then I will hop into the shower and get dressed so he doesn't know).
Happy Easter Sunday
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and remember what Easter is all about.
Here is a picture of my kids this morning in their Easter outfits.
Photobucket
Here is Anthony and Melissa singing a song that Anthony wrote in church this morning. The video quality is not the best because I was in the back of the church trying to keep my one year old happy and as quite as possible during this time.
Please pray for me I am having a hard time with people not understanding our LIFE THREATENING food allergy issues. Sometimes I think I can talk until I am blue in the face and people just won't get it. Yet somehow they can accommodate and remember other people with less severe issues. Anyways, I am not mad at anyone just hurt and tired of this being my life day in and day out and no one really understanding. I try to help people understand by saying that I wouldn't stick their kid in a room with something that would send them to the hospital or kill them without the proper care. Anyways I should of followed my mommy instinct and not gone to my church this morning with all the eggs but I was guilt-ed into going so I did and now regret it. I guess I need to learn to follow my mommy instincts better.
I won't share anymore on that issue as I don't want to dwell on it just learn from it and move on. So please just pray for me that I can leave the hurt in today and not carry it with me as we move thru this life.
One more picture from this morning at church :)
Allergies, Asthma, A Missions Conference and Redemption
We had our allergist appointment on Wednesday. I was shocked that Caylea was put back on 2 asthma med's and 3 nasal allergy med's the allergist said her lungs were really gunky like they were last time and if we didn't get it cleared up she would end up with bronchitis (a lung infection) like she did a few months go. That wasn't easy for this momma to hear. I don't want my children to have these stupid food allergies and I sure don't want any allergy related asthma on top of it. So Caylea is on the regimen for now I have some questions so I am calling the office Monday as I was told that I could do the rescue inhaler as needed but needed to indefinitely stay on the steroid one. I am not feeling too good about that. I was also told that she needed to be kept on the patanase (anti-histamine) nasal spray constantly (x2 a day) for now. . .not 100% sure what that means.
Weeks? Months? Spring?
Caden seems to be doing well with all of his allergies. She went over with me to strictly avoid egg, peanuts and tree nuts. I told her no doubt we are to the point of driving me insane. She said that is good it's important. UGH I was wanting to go and tell them how stressed all of this was making me and have her say it's okay ease up a bit. But no I got your doing a good job you will adjust. Not exactly what I was hoping for. However me having a higher amount of stress is so worth the fact that we have not had to make another ER visit because of food allergies. So I guess counting my blessings and being thankful for God's loving hand protecting my kids is what I need to focus on right now.
However I told her that Caden had eaten accidentally (once with my friend and once I think it was his dad) some food with soy protein concentrate in it and his cheeks didn't turn red and he didn't have diareah that turned his butt into a red blister and soars. She said if he had a few exposures and no reaction since it didn't cause anaphylaxis we could trial at home. I was so excited I gave him a graham cracker with a little soy butter on it. No reaction! (except the next morning his nose started running-I tried to tell myself just a cold) then the next day he had some chicken nuggets with soy protein concentrate in them and seemed fine but a few hours latter he was so snotty and threw up several times. That evening he was horribly fussy. He didn't sleep well that night. The next day we went to the zoo and he was miserable all day. I gave him zyrtec so after his nap he was somewhat better. He is still not 100% best I can tell. I am going to wait for him to return to normal. And then try one more time just to make sure it wasn't a cold or something. I really don't think that is the case so I am going to go super slow but I have to give it one more try.
The missions conference was great this week. I wish I had gotten to be in services more but Wednesday night I had nursery and Thursday is when Caden was sick so I only made it to services last night. The missionary was really neat to listen to. My girls sat nicely with their Aunt Brandy and Uncle Chris which I was extremely impressed with.
My mom, sisters, nephews and niece came over and spent the day yesterday. It was so cute to watch the kiddos play. I especially loved watching my beautiful little niece work on making her way from the living room to the girls room to play with the other kiddos. It's so sad how fast they grow up. But so fun to watch.
Anthony was also off work yesterday so he got to spend some special alone time with Caylea and Caden taking each of them on a trip alone with him. They LOVED it. I supose it will be Carolina's turn next.
Yesterday my best friend went to some garage sales. She picked me up a book called Redemption by Karen Kingsbury. She said this was the best book/series so I have been waiting on it (from the church library). She found it at a garage sale so she picked it up for me :) I started it last night and stayed up till 2 AM reading it. I got to chapter 4 last night and kept falling asleep. I wanted to keep reading so when I kept waking up I would start reading again I did this like 2 times. Then I finally just put it away even though I didn't want to.
Tomorrow is Easter we will be heading to church. Anthony is going to sunrise service at 7:30. I won't be able to go till the next service at 9:30 because they are having a breakfast at church. They are serving eggs so Caden can't even be in the nursery with kids that ate eggs. I spoke with the allergist about this and the only way we could make it safe for Caden is to put him in a nursery with the babies who won't be eating eggs.
I am so excited about seeing all the kids (mine and my niece and nephews) dressed in their matching Easter outfits. I hope we got some cute pictures :) After church we are going to my in-laws house for lunch. It is always a fun time.
I got my kids some eggs and found two differet kinds of safe Easter candy to stuff them. I am thinking we may have our egg hunt today because I have heard that it is supose to rain all day tomorrow.
Okay I am off of here my girls are pinching each other so I guess I better be a mom and go take care of it. They have a birthday party they want to go to (I am not taking Caden because of his egg allergy just less stressful for me to leave him at home with daddy). So they better straighten up if they want to go!
I really hope I can find sometime to read my book today. . .we have a birthday party for a little boy from church at nap time so it maybe the kids bedtime before I get to read anymore. I am sure the wait will be worth it!
My Day
I woke up right after 7 this morning because my sister was bringing my cute nephew Sam over to play while she went to substitute teach.
Amy brought our little friend Gabriel over not long after that while she went to jury duty.
Broke up a few fights between my 2 girls fighting over thier Leapsters. By the way we have two of them and they are exactly the same! UGH . . . I do not get it!
It took us about the same amount of time to get out of our house even with 2 extra barely 2 year olds. LOL I am just super slow I guess!
Had to run by the mission cottage to return the bathroom rugs that I had washed.
Quick trip to walmart to pick up a few things. . .one of them being bowl's because my 1 year old keeps throwing dishes away. . .at least they were his inexpensive munchkin bowls. Easy enough to replace. My husband and I just need to keep a better eye on the trash can.
Also the girls needed toothpaste and Carolina needed new socks her feet seem to have had a growth spurt. Of course Caylea had socks when her feet were Carolina's size but finding them has proved to be impossible.
I forgot cereal bars the only thing my husband asked me to pick up for him. . .UGH!
Came home waited on Amy (she called and said they were dismissed). Laid the kids minus Caylea down for a nap.
Then got busy on 2+ hours of 1st grade home school curriculum.
We finished about the time Amanda was pulling up to pick up Mr. Sam whom was still sleeping.
Chatted with my pregnant sister. Can't wait to meet my new niece Elizabeth in early June.
We have allergist appointments in the morning. Trying to get my thoughts in order. We pay $70.00 (co-pay) each time we go to the allergist right now they are letting us come every 4 months instead of 2 but I am going to talk to them tomorrow about making it further apart. It was nice to go more often when I was adjusting to the life changes we had to make. Now though we are pretty well adjusted in all of this and I feel capable.
Okay well now I guess it's time to get up and go make dinner for my kids and I. Anthony has classes tonight so it will still be a few hours before her gets home.
Caylea
Caylea's friend Isaac had his 5th Birthday party on Friday. His momma made him the coolest Yoda cake. Caylea had a blast playing with Isaac and her other friends.
Photobucket
Look at my baby girl (she is sitting next to her friend Macy). Does she not look so big. I think it is finally clicking for her daddy and I that she is turning into a little girl. Although she has an attitude (which she comes by naturally) she is starting to act so much older. So amazing to be her mommy!
Photobucket
After Caylea finished school this afternoon she wanted to go to the park so that is where we headed. I wish I had taken a minute to check the weather because it was so cold we could only stay there for about 30 minutes. That was maybe a good thing though because it was almost 3 before we came home and the younger ones needed naps :)
That is all from us I guess. Chuck was able to fix my computer I just haven't been on it as much I think I was so frustrated with it messing up and then it was gone a few days and I was surprised how much I didn't miss it. I enjoy chatting with my bestie at night after the kids go to bed but other than that I haven't wanted to really even be on here much.
I do need to get back to taking more pictures though and keeping my blog updated better. I don't feel as though I have gotten very many cute one's lately. Mostly probably because I haven't taken as many. Also the weather has been cold so instead of going out so much we have been staying inside :)
Okay well one more picture. . .My mom and sisters (and nephews and niece) came to hang out with us last Thursday. It was so great to have them over :)
Photobucket
Carolina
Photobucket
My sweet Carolina. She can do something that the only other person in our house can do is her dadddy. . . (Caden may be able to but he hasn't as of yet). . .do you want to know what that is?
Photobucket
She can roll her tounge :) It's too cute and she definatly got that from her daddy.
Carolina is by far my most stubborn outgoing child . . .I have no doubts if we can get her to adult hood she will go far and nothing and nobody is gonna stop that little lady.
Photobucket
If you had come to the park with us today you would of not been able to look at Carolina and know it was so cold and that wind was freezing! She has always been my dress in 3 layers or her lips are gonna turn blue child so maybe she is outgrowing that? I didn't realize it was so cold or we would of taken jackets. . .
My 3 sitting at home having a sucker on Saturday :) Since they hardly ever get any candy they were all super excited to have a sucker :)
Today we went to the park
One of the pic's is Caden saying BRRR . . .it was pretty cold :)
His boots (Thanks for the boots Jack) weren't staying on that is why he is holding them in one of the pic's :)
He got mad when we got back home because he wanted to "drive" (yes he said drive) so we drove around a few more minutes before I broke his heart :(
Then it was nap time for Caden boy :)
computer problems :(
I hope this post's before my computer locks up. . .we are having some major issues so I can't really post a nice blog. . .
My computer is going to be looked at again tonight by a the very bestest friend (her husband actually). . .
Hopefully we will be up and running again soon
In all honestly I am finding new peace in life without a computer
and although I will enjoy having it back I think my addiction (too much time spent on it) has come to an end!
(((hugs)))
