I will not write on here what it take for me to get him to take medicine in the past. However recently he has found a way to fight our last resort method. Needless to say it is impossible to MAKE Caden take Medicine if he doesn't want to. We have tried everything from hiding it in food/drink, bribing, threatening, asking, begging, holding down exc.
I say all of this to say that Sunday night he ended up throwing up on me when I thought I was finally getting it down him. We finally talked him into chewing up a children's Tylenol and he said it wasn't so bad. Later when he was feeling better I talked with him about why I had wanted him to take it. He agreed that he did feel better and that it wasn't that bad.
So I hope that next time he has a high temp it will be easier to get him to take it. I am going to get rid of all of our liquid med's and only buy chewable from now on. I think this will work out better for all concerned.
I kid you not when I say that my baby boy whom I have loved to snuggle with many hours over the last several days is so rotten and defiantly fits the bill for the baby of the family!
My Caylea has been the healthiest out of the three. She has ran a temp however not as high as the other two. She has had a snotty nose which in turn has made her have her classic nose bleeds. Caylea having a bloody nose is just normal for us during spring and winter also any time she has a cold or allergy issues.
Caylea has been a very big helper and even though she has had a fever we still did school yesterday and today. Yesterday was more of a struggle for her so I let her skip her journal and we spread it out a little more over the day than normal. She is a trooper!
Sweet snuggly Carolina is still feeling bad. In fact she has spent all afternoon evening laying on the couch. She only got up to eat a little bit of a soy butter and jelly sandwich. If she is not looking better tomorrow I think I am going to break down and call our Pediatrician. I just hate to take them in for a virus that can't be medicated. Also I hate to expose them to other things in a doctors office when their immune systems are still recovering from whatever this is. We are suppose to leave for Oklahoma Thursday so it would be nice if they were well by then and don't pick up anything else :)
Caden boy I think I have already shared how he is doing. Here he is having a bubble bath tonight. I bought some bubble bath with no dye or perfumes and he LOVES it! No more fighting him to take a bath YAY! :)
Back in December right before our trip to Oklahoma Anthony got strep and I got the flu. I was surprised when none of our children picked up anything. So far for this virus cross my fingers Anthony and I have neither one got this. Weird but I hope it stays that way.
