Today I . . .

Just feel like the worst Mom ever. It just seems like Caylea can not catch a break. I don't have many down days about the food allergies anymore. So then when the weather started cooling off and the constant bloody noses started we handled it. We added a humidifier to Cayleas room and presto no more bloody noses.

So I have known Caylea has had a medal allergy (probably nickel) for awhile. First noticed it with ear rings then glasses. I remember mentioning it to her teacher at the beginning if the year because the paint had worn off of her glasses (we wont even discuss how bad the poor girls eyes are) so I was putting polish over the part that touched her face and made soars until her new glasses came in.

So as soon as I noticed Cayleas legs I knew exactly what it was from. These picture's are from after 3 days of neosporen and Zyrtec. The rash and blisters are gone. I do not even understand why she wouldn't of told her teacher or I about this. She has since told me it hurt and itched at school but not at home. I am guessing she just thought it was something she had to deal with. Which breaks my heart.

Well all we can do is cover the brads on the chairs she sits in with duct tape. I wanted to make her a cover but she told me she would just take it off that no one else uses one.

I am going to look for long pants that she will wear. She has Agree'd to wear them now she didn't want to before.

Also I am just going to have to teach Caylea to be more observant about these types of things. I am so glad she is mature for her age because all she has to be aware of is a lot for an 8 year old.

Over all though she is handling it all like an old pro!
( now if even after almost a whole semester she would all of a sudden stop giving me a hard time about wearing the epi-pen pouch I would be so happy!)

Ps don't take this post as a complaint - its not we are just dealing as it comes just like everyone else.  We are a blessed family!
