We have made a change in the church that we attend this summer. It's been at times a difficult transition because of relationships. In short I miss my friends but I know without a shadow of doubt we did what we were called to do. I am just not a person who enjoys change or new relationships so it's going to take me a bit to make some new friends. Mostly because I am quite reserved given my life experiences (as a lot of women are). God is blessing our family and our kids are adjusting well. That took some time for one of them in particular. I thought it would be the oldest because of starting out in the youth however I was wrong about that. It was actually the one I should of guessed because she is just more sensitive to change and cautious like her momma!
Anyways all of that being said I am so thankful for the friendships and family that we have at the church we left. Us leaving had nothing to do with our friends it had to do with following God. No church is perfect not the one we left and not the one we have now joined what matters in being where you believe God has called you to be.
We are just doing the best we can.
I am so thankful for those who have reached out to us and expressed their desire to maintain our relationships on any level we can. That will obviously not include going to church together. However just like anything else whatever is important to you you will find a way to work it out. With our busy lives that is sometimes hard. So the "playdates" maybe farther between than we would like however that isn't as important as just making sure we invest the time into those relationships.
So on this day we had a very lovely play date at the zoo with some of our old friends. I wouldn't trade this day or these memories.
Sometimes you just make friends you know are the real deal!
I wouldn't trade my friends, kids or this day for anything. . .oh and how I love the OKC Zoo.
They had this new little place that I had never seen before. Tia and I were able to sit and talk while the kids played it actually kept them super happy for quite a little bit!
This little girl just happens to be a bundle of JOY wrapped up in a little girls body! She absolutely brings so much happiness wherever she goes ~ I have seen it many many times!
