The appointment was a lot longer than expected we were there for a little over 2 1/2 hours. Three kids in a small room for that long is very stressful.
First off they weighed the Children Caylea was almost 44 inches I didn't catch her weight because they weigh kilograms and I didn't ask them to convert her. I did ask them to convert Caden because I was curious he seems so much bigger to me. He is 23 lbs - which is 16% - and 30 inches -which is 40%- so he isn't big by any means but defiantly growing which is great to see. He weighed 21 lbs 12 oz at his 15 month so that is over a pound he has gained in 2 months. That means we are doing great at keeping his allergens away from him :)
Well the allergist came in and noticed Caylea's cough right off the bat listened to her and said she sounds like an asthmatic so they did her oxygen saturation and it was down so they did a breathing treatment and that helped. We got 5 med's for this . . .I think it's just the same bad chest cold we have all had . . .time will tell.
Caden has to have a blood test because soy is still in question. I was telling the doctor about his cheeks turning red if he eats something with soy flour or soy protein in it. (She had told me to start with just no soy milk, soy beans, soy sauce that sort of thing. . .but I wanted to give his system time to calm down - then when I let him have a little soy protein or soy flour occasionally he gets red cheeks immediately and sometimes diareah with a very soar bottom) She said if the blood test comes back negative then we will do an in office challenge and if it comes back positive we will know with a positive skin test (we have already had this), reactions and a positive blood test soy is out! The Allergist did say that even though the reactions are maybe just red cheeks for now it could be different any time . . .maybe the next time.
When I went to walmart to get the scripts filled the wait was 2 1/2 hours they didn't even have the twinjects in stock so I have to drive back up there tomorrow and get them. The total for the day was $70 for the appointments and $122 for the scripts we already got not counting the twinjects which are pretty expensive that we have to pick up tomorrow. Not what I was expecting for the day but the only reason I mention it is because I want to say how AWESOME MY GOD IS for providing. Normally that extra expense would be hard for us to pay at any given moment but He knew it was coming and had already made provisions.
On that note I will end this post. . . but please if you feel so lead keep Ashley and her family in your prayers they are all hurting and could use some lifting up right now. . . http://ashleyadamsjournal.blogspot.com/
