I love little boys!

WOW Just found a new postive for having a little boy. . .there was a cricket in the bathroom floor . . .I said ewww a bug! Caden said I wanna see. . .then he picked it up . . .I had him flush him down the potty. . .then my son let out this laugh only a little boy could make! FUN!

We had a super busy week last week I have a few posts I want to write but just haven't had time. . .the girls were sick this weekend also which didn't help. . .So glad they are better now and so far no one else has gotten it!

Starting school with Caylea right now. . .then I am hoping we can take out a few hours at the zoo this afternoon it's supose to be 77 degree's!

This isn't the same science museum I remember. . .

I have been thinking about getting a pass to the Science Museum lately. Caylea has been wanting to go and I knew it would be something that was good for her especially since we home school. My Aunt has a pass and she invited us to go with her yesterday. I am so glad that we did! Now I am sold we will be getting our very own pass very soon! Not only is this great for Caylea but it is fun for everyone. I get so excited when I can see my kids brains working. I could see them learning these new things and the best part they didn't even know they were learning anything! It was all fun!

They did not have the oh so cool children's area when I was young. I am so happy there will be something new for us to do on day's that the weather does not permit an outside adventure! I just can't be locked up in the house too awful much or I will go nuts!

Here are some of my favorite pictures. Out of the 150 I took only about 50 were decent pictures. Somehow my settings got changed on my camera and a lot of my pictures were blurry. . .oh well I will get more sometime soon.

First Day of Spring 2010

Well the first day of spring in our part of Oklahoma meant snow ALL DAY! So needless to say my family and I were stuck inside all day! We made plenty of fun for ourselves though. One of the fun things we did was the girls and I had a make over party.

Carolina painting her finger nails

Caylea painting my finger nails

Caylea painting my toe nails

Caylea helping Carolina with her eye shadow

Caylea helping Carolina with her toe's/feet

My girls and I

At first against my advisement Caden was up in our business. . .

Thankfully that didn't last long and wrestling with daddy sounded like so much more fun to him!

So Daddy decided that since the roads were going to freeze over last night that we would stay home from church this morning. So we are just chilling at the house. I am thinking though that after all of the traffic out today and the temperature being above freezing all day that we can get out of the house tonight! I would really love to go to church tonight!

Beautiful day!

We love this weather! The kids and I spent part of the afternoon at the park with Brandy, her kids and Amanda's kids. Then we came home and the girls played in the backyard the rest of the afternoon while Caden napped. I got to relax and watch the girls out the window :) Beautiful way to spend Caylea's last day of spring break. . . What more could I ask for?

And here is a cute picture of Samuel, Elijah and Caylea playing outside at my mom's yesterday.

Zoo Video's

I realized the other day that I hadn't been taking many video's of my children. I use to be so good then my batteries went dead in my flip and I never carry around my video camera. . .I of course just didn't think about using the video setting on my camera. So I charged the batteries and off we went to the zoo.

My little monkey's (and of course little Livi)

This is too funny! In the new children's zoo they have by the flamingo's a little area that looks like 3 flamingo nest's with an egg on each. The girls thought this was pretty neat!

Caylea petting a mini goat in the petting zoo.

Kiddos on the cool root slide. I honestly didn't put together that it was suppose to be root until I read the press release for the new children's zoo on-line.

Happy 3rd Birthday Misty Mae

A special Birthday treat for our Misty and Jaxx. I think they really enjoyed it :)

What you would find if you came to my house right now

If you came to my house right this very minute you would find Caden working on his shapes and colors while playing the Candy land Castle game.

If you came to my house right now you might just find Carolina playing with silly putty (at the table-lesson learned). Last night she was sticking it everywhere and it ended up getting stuck in her bed post! Thankfully I got it out and now it's confined to the table!

If you came to my house right now you would find Caylea playing the V. Smile in Caden's room (the batteries are out in the v.motion controllers-I am so bad about remembering batteries while I am at the store!)

or she might just be posing for a picture for her momma!

You would find us celebrating Misty's 3rd Birthday. We do not know her exact Birthday but since Jax's Birthday is on the 4th of July and we know Misty's Birthday is in March we decided to go with St. Patrick's day! Now we won't forget either of their Birthday's! Later we are going to take them for a walk to lake Hefner and get some special treats and sing Happy Birthday to her!

Or maybe Carolina is playing the v.smile game and Caylea and Caden are playing with silly putty. . .it changes so fast around here I couldn't really say. . . :)

Spring Break

Yesterday was the first day of spring break for well I guess just for Caylea and I since the other two kiddos are not in school. So Caylea's cousin Livi stayed the night with her Sunday night. They had so much fun playing. . .it's so cute to watch them play! Caylea and Livi have been playing together for a long time! It's so fun to remember them being little!

I wish I had some pictures of them on my computer I would share one. . .maybe I will find one later and add it.

Anyways I had to go to my cousin's wife funeral yesterday morning. I am so thankful that Patsy was willing to watch all 4 of the kids for me. It would of been crazy to take them. They had so much fun playing with Patsy and Taylor. Well actually Carolina was still asleep when I got home at 1130 (can you believe that) and I guess Caden had just woken up at about 11:00 - I am thinking this was partially due to the time change.

Since everyone slept so late I knew that Caden would not nap so we headed to the zoo for a few hours. It was such a nice day and not too awful busy like spring break usually is. We closed out the zoo then headed home. Anthony actually beat me home and started dinner before I even got there (I know your jealous!).

Our thoughts were to put the kids to bed early so that they would wake up earlier. . .so we put them to bed they all feel asleep about 9 then guess what they were all awake by 11! UGH!!!! So we had a long night. . .then this morning I woke everyone up at 9! I guess this is the new plan! I really do not want them sleeping till 10 or 11 that is half the day plus it's a pain at night when they should be sleeping that they are messing around (I know we shouldn't let them watch TV in their rooms at bed time but we do and that is that)

So Anthony called and he had left his lunch at home so we drove it to him and visited his office the kids loved it! So did most of the adults I think :) Then the kids and I ran to wal-mart to pick up moose (You would be surprised how much of that stuff we go through) I also picked up the kids some silly putty they saw it and I said why not I loved it when I was a kid :)

Tonight we are heading to Sears to pick up the kids Easter outfits I saw the cutest suit with a purple shirt for Caden I just pray they still have his size!

Well here are a few pictures from yesterday at the zoo!

The girls checking out the koi pond

Caylea and Livi taking pictures of the goats

Our Week

It was a lovely week. I am so thankful for the nice weather! We took every opportunity to get out of the house and head to the zoo that was available this week. I went once with just my 3 kiddos, the next time I went with my 3 and 3 extra kids for this I got called crazy by my brother in law. . .I prefer to think I just want to make every day life fun and besides that the zoo is 10 minutes from my house and we are zoo friends so it's getting out of the house and getting some fresh air (good for everyone!). Then the last time my sister and a friend went with us with their kiddos and then my other niece and nephew also. It was wonderful and I had fun hanging with my kids and each of the other people that I had the opportunity to hang out with this week!

Caden in front of the goats. . .he really would love to chase them!

Caylea, Charity and Caden petting Pinky the donkey

The 6 kids I took with me to the zoo (the sun was shining in their eye's but getting them all to sit still isn't easy so we will go with this one)

Caden and Samuel going down the cool concrete slide

One of the many cute pictures I took of my adorable niece Elizabeth

Caden smiling for me :)

Sarah and Sam giving Lizzie lots of love!

Caylea doing her new favorite thing in the new children's zoo (Carolina and Caden do not enjoy it in here AT ALL!)

Caden in front of the cool water fall . . .Can't wait till warmer weather so he can wade thru the stream and play in the little spray park

Last night I had the opportunity to stay the night with my sister as both of our husbands were out of town at a conference in Kansas. We had a nice evening a few friends and both of my sisters came over and together we had a house full of children. To say the least it was loud and crazy but it was also nice to hang out and chat. The down side to the night was that my son didn't go to sleep until 130AM and then woke up at 4 throwing up and we were up till about 730AM he slept off and on but I stayed awake so that I could throw the laundry in the washing machine and catch what I could as it came. Thankfully the last episode was at about 630. He was still not feeling great when he woke up but seems to be better now. I sure hope he didn't spread any virus to his cousins or friends!

I am moving on to a different topic and I would like to request prayers for my family. I have refrained from posting anything on the Internet until I was certain that everyone had the news and no one would find out this way. My cousin Bobby lost his wife Lisa Apple last Thursday. He came home from work and found that she had passed. She was only 29 and had diabetes she also had some kind of infection. However her death was definatly not expected. She leaves behind her husband and her little boy Robbie whom just turned 3 in January. My heart is broken for them and I know that they would appreciate any prayers that could be offered to God on their behalf to get thru this. Her funeral is on Monday at 10AM if you read this and do not have these details please contact me at chan.momto3@gmail.com and I will let you know the details.
