The New Children's Zoo

My kids and I have been so excited about the new children's zoo opening. It seems like they started it years ago! Just like it seems like the Elephants have been gone literally FOREVER!

Today was the day some zoo members got to preview it! The opening to the public is on Friday. It was so amazing and well worth the wait!

The petting zoo and the lorikeets were my kids very favorites. The first time we went into the petting zoo we waited probably 20-30 minutes to get in. Then we went and explored other area's. When we came back by the petting zoo there was NO LINE so we went in again! The first time they had the little goats out. . .those poor things were running from the kids. The next time we went in the donkey's were out and then the bunnies.

The other favorite of my children was the lorikeet's. Caylea was so excited that they were landing on her. However Caden wouldn't even hold his nectar once he saw that the lorikeets were drinking out of it and Carolina did great holding it until one landed on her then the bird got shook off and the nectar landed on the ground. . .actually happened twice :)

The whole Children's zoo was so nice. The weather was beautiful! It was a great day! I can't wait to go back and as you can tell if you read my blog often you know that that day will come sooner rather than later! :)
