The girls both had Valentines parties at school. They overlapped but thankfully Carolina's was longer so I got to go to hers for a little while before going to Caylea's.
Carolina with the cute bag she made for her Valentines.
Carolina's teacher Mrs. Green reading the class a story while the parents set up the party.
Caden, Carolina and I at Carolina's party. Caden was a lucky boy and got treats from both classes!
Caylea at her class party. Caylea's friends Mom made chocolate covered strawberries that were so yummy (yes I had one!) However they were not safe for Caylea so her friends' Mom was nice enough to bring some plain strawberries for Caylea. There were actually a lot of treats that she could not have however I am so happy with the way she handled herself. The classroom is nut free so there actually no nuts in there just issues with cross contamination. I have actually not have one problem with a class party. However I am homeroom Mom so I do send out reminders about no nuts with the information about the party. I will always be on hand to help in whatever way I can and be as involved as possible however I am not sure if I will ever sign up to be THE homeroom Mom again. It is A LOT of work! Plus now with most of the first year under our belt I am confident in the school and Caylea!
More treats for my little man! At Carolina's party I noticed Caden's checks start turning red they stayed that way for a few days. I was worried that he was starting to react to peanut butter. So I told him not to eat it anymore. However about 3 day's later something clicked in my head and I realized it was 5ths disease. No big deal just had to run it's course.
Caylea and her best friend Layla on Valentines Day
That evening we spent together as a family. We went out to dinner and then watched a movie. It was a wonderful day I spent loving on my family!
