Our boat race and Light Brigade is tonight so I will not only have pictures from that tonight but also from painting them last night and our day with my family today this evening. I promise to get caught up tonight.
First here is a pic of Carolina from Sunday it was her 3rd Bday. And Caden and Caylea feel asleep in the van at church while daddy was in choir practice so it was the perfect time for me to spend an hour or so playing with my newly turned 3 year old! We had so much fun! I seriously didn't realize she talked so much and so big. I think the noise of all 3 drowns her out sometimes. We had some great chats that night and my goal is to make more time for chats like that with my baby girl!
Next Caylea started her first grade cirric. monday. She did so well. She told me right before we started that she was scared. I asked her why? and she said b/c she thinks it's going to be too hard. After the work was complete she remarked that it was not hard at all. As with any school it's going to be a lot of review to begin with so it was simple for her the only thing that she even had to spend any time on was the cursive b/c she did manuscript last year. In fact she did so well that on tues. we did "4 days" worth of work. Because it is all review I am trying to push us into some learning. Also I have our lessons plans written out for the whole level and she is scheduled to complete first the begining of Aug. so that we can have a week or two off before begining 2nd grade when "school" starts. So if we could push that date up I figure a little longer "summer" break would be good for both of us :) Just on a closing note with Caylea I have got to say that I am very proud of my 5 year old first grader and I love listening to her read to me! It makes this mommy proud that I taught her to read! I wasn't sure I had it in me :)
And last but certainly not least it's the Bubba boy who slept probably 90% of the day yesterday! He has been doing great! Nothing new it seems going on in his life . . .well except his momma is trying to come to terms with him being a "toddler" now and TRYING not to give into him EVERYTIME! It's so hard. My sister even remarked how surprised she is that I do give him everything he wants and make the girls give him things they have as well. As it has always been so important to me to have things "fair". He has two things in his corner on this first being my baby (my last baby) and also his food allergies and him being so sick for so long and feeling crappy all the time made my heart ALOT more soft twords him! Also I feel as his life is already not fair as he can't have the simplist of things like birthday cake at parties!!! But I do realize that I am doing him an injustice by allowing him to be rotten!!! Well I have to get off of her and get moving we are spending the day at my mom's today and then will go straight to church tongiht! So my friends I will see you all tonight :)
PS I didn't have time to proof read this so I will go thru it tonight and fix it as I am sure there are 100's of problems :)
