Well anyways last tues. we went to vote it was quite interesting standing in line with 3 kids for 1 1/2 hours to vote. Although it felt good to vote by the end of the night I knew it didn't pay off the way I wished it would of.
Anyways, we have enjoyed our days with our family. Mostly my sisters Brandy and Amanda and the boys Elijah and Sam and of course Sarah. . .Also Gabriel has been joining us several days a week while his mom works. It's fun having him he is a joy to watch.
One day last week I think it was Monday. Caden colored for the first time he really enjoyed it I think. He is just full of firsts lately it seems like. Thankfully this is a first I got a picture of :) And later that same day while he was napping (he still wasn't feeling well) the girls and I went out in the back yard and discovered a big sand box where our pool use to be. They had so much fun playing out there. I just let them dig and dig until they were done then we came in and had bathes.
On Thurs. my sisters and nieces and nephews came over to have lunch and play. Caden has his first corn on the cob that day. He liked it somewhat I think. I think he would of enjoyed it better if he would of ate the corn instead of trying to eat the cob. LOL Then the older kids went out in the back and had some more fun swinging and digging in all the sand. Memaw helped them all build sand castles then wouldn't you know it it was time for bathes again. lol (notice a trend with me outside = bathes)
Friday I spent the morning looking for a "Ni~Na bear" shirt that was perfect for my little lady. I found it at old navy and I love it on her and in pictures. Kelly took the kids pic's sat. so I wanted it for them. I really waited too long to get Carolina's invites out for her party. Somehow time just snuck up on me then I was like AHHH! Anyways here is a pic of Carolina in her shirt that Kelly took on sat. I don't have the rest of the pic's yet but I am sure I will share some more when I get them :)
Sat. we got up early and went to Kelly's for pic's it was a cold 49 degree's so even though I haven't seen the pictures yet I am thinking any with the Caden boy in them are probably going to be funny b/c his little nose gets so red when he is cold. Oh well we will try again on an afternoon or just have to find a way to keep him warmer. After we left Kelly's we were suppose to go by walmart and pick up a few things well as you can tell from the pic's the trip lasted alot longer than I or my husband would of liked. Anyways, my kids had fun and yes we picked up all that mess we made. :)
After that we went home for naps and Anthony watched the game with Joey. The kids took naps and I chatted with my friend for a while before taking a nap. Sat. is when I started feeling bad (just a cold). After my nap we rushed around got the kids ready took them to my wonderful sister's Amanda who agreed to watch them for us so we could meet some friends up at the movies to watch Fireproof. Which by the way is an awesome movie and I would recommend it to any married couple. It was great spending some time with adults. But then it was time to get the kids and head home for some sleep.
Sun. was church Carolina had her first time in children's church. It was so cute. I can't believe she is old enough but sure enough she fits right in I do think! I could tell she had a great time too.
Today Monday. . .we went to get the oil changed and go to the grocery store. After that it was nap time and then daddy was soon home. Anthony wanted to go to eat and then we had to go to Sam's to get a few things for Carolina's party on sat. There are not many places that I can let my kids eat. Chili's is one. I got on-line looked up this months menu. Talked to Caylea she wanted the cheese pizza which her and Carolina can have. Bubba can't I was going to let him have the grilled cheese because soy is kinda iffy for us and soy is in it. But I didn't know about the details of the soy so I decided to take him some safe food and just order him the only thing on the menu that looked safe for him that I thought he would eat. That was mashed potatoes. He LOVED them! The waiters were great with their help and offering to get us allergy menu's. I was pretty impressed. It was a great night with my family. Caden has had strong aversions to sweet foods/fruits since all his problems and has never really eaten any of them. Well tonight he ate a whole little box of raisins it was so cute and a few little fruit snacks. I didn't have my camera for these firsts but I am sure I will get them in the coming days to mark the specialness of it. He also got his first cup with a straw tonight the cup just had water in it but he downed it down so fast and leaked his diaper. I am not sure the boy has ever drank that much water in one sitting before. We maybe on to something here :)
Well it's late and I am getting pretty tired. So I guess I must say Goodnight my friends. :)
