New Diets

Photobucket
Not as in I am on a new diet but just changing our diets as in changing the way we eat to a much healthier way of life. My Best Friend has been helping me plan dinners so that has taken a lot of the struggles out of planning healthy meals. I use to always eat healthy before my husband and I were together and then for a while after but he didn't appreciate the food and to please him I started slowly altering the way I made meals. Eventually we were eating a lot of red meat and pasta which has almost been eliminated from our diets now. I have already lost 4 lbs and it's only been a week. I feel tons better and I feel I am doing better by my children and husband also. Sure we will occasionally still eat out (and the kids will sometimes have McDonald's) but not near as often. I think they like the food just as much if not better anyways so why not make it healthy!
So a week into my new diet and my new Bible study I am feeling so good just ready for spring to get here so that the weather can warm up a bit so we can spend more time outside. (Don't get me wrong I am not too anxious to have my children grow up quickly not even months. . .they make a difference)
Also sometime early spring my husband and I have a little mini vacation in store for our family. . .not sure about any of the details yet but it's coming. We are getting excited thinking of all that we can do now that our children are getting a little older (ie. . .not having to stop to nurse every few hours).

Way to go on eating healthy! David and I are doing the same. We don't want this to be a "diet" either but a healthier way of life. Congrats on the 4 lbs!
