Anthony is in Las Vegas this week for the National Sales Meeting at work. I dropped him off yesterday so he could ride to with his co-worker Junior to Dallas. They caught a flight this morning. Last year he tried to pretend that these meetings were mostly work. I have been around two of his co-workers Junior and Carol enough to know that just isn't the case. Poor guy :(
On another note last week we made hotel arrangements for Mardi Gras to go down to Scott (near Lafayette) to watch the parade near their house with them. Scott is a family town so it will be so much fun for the kids. I am so excited to go. Last year the kids and I got to hang out with Karen quite a bit while Anthony was down there for work. I was home schooling so we went with him on several occasions. I think last time we were there was March when we went for the International Festival. Karen and I really hit it off and she loves the kids as much as they love her.
Last week one day the kids loaded on the couch, waited for pop corn and watched some OKC Thunder with Anthony. In all reality Elijah is the only one who made it through the game. The rest of them were passed out before it was over!
One day at rest time this is what I found. My son has really gotten into playing the DSi's with Elijah. You can set it up to play each other it is really cool. I didn't really think Caden was old enough for a DSi but he may just be getting one soon. Caylea and Carolina only get theirs on the weekends but they come in really handy on trips to Oklahoma.
They make their own fun! Elijah, Caden and Sarah racing down the hill
My Caden boy
Caden and Carolina were really being little tree monkey's this day! I got so many great pictures of them in the tree. This isn't even the one I meant to load but the loader is taking so long I am not going to change it :)
When Carolina was very small she climbed on everything. Before she could even walk she was climbing everywhere. She climbed out of her crib at 11 months old. She didn't even fall she was so good at it just shimmied on down. Anyways we use to call her our little Monkey butt until we realized she wouldn't like the name when she got older so we switched it to Ni-Na bear.
My pretty little niece Sarah. I won't lie it's been crazy with these two extra kids. Especially since Anthony left yesterday right after church. However I am really going to miss them when they are gone. I think I am feeling a little emotional because Sunday is our last day at our current church. I know we are doing what we are suppose to be doing but I still hate saying good bye because I know that most of the people that I love there I won't see again. A few I think we will stay in contact with and I have some of them as friends on face book so we can stay in somewhat contact that way. It just won't be the same. It is not really like when we left Oklahoma because I knew we would be back in fact very often that first year or so. Still I see them all every time we visit and I love visiting with them. Anyways I am looking forward to Thursday because my sister, nephew and brother in law will be in town. However Friday they will all be leaving and taking Elijah and Sarah with them. I do have something that will take my mind off of it though my best friend (whom I was so blessed to just recently get to see) if all things work out. I will get to meet her for dinner on Friday evening. (Anthony will meet us in Longview and bring the kids home so that will be super nice)
So here is sweet Sarah Bear-ah as I have just nicknamed her.
Handsome Elijah he has been such a big helper and just a good boy this whole time. I am so very thankful and proud of him!
I guess those pictures were taken last Wednesday because this is all the kids on the couch ready to head to church.
