WOW! Eight!

Caylea's 8th Birthday was yesterday. We started the day by making Oatmeal cream pie's per her request. The first one's were crunchy. However when I made the rest of the dough today I figured it out :) Thanks to a few tips from my friend who also gave me the recipe and her wonderful icing recipe. :) Here we are singing happy birthday to Caylea yesterday morning before Anthony left to go out of town for a few days.

Caylea chose Chili's for lunch. Here she is with her Birthday sundae.

The next thing Caylea wanted to do was go to Critter Co. This is a pet store that has all kinds of "critters" and you can hold most of them. It is a pretty neat place. Especially since we do not have a real zoo around here. When it cools off we will go to the alligator park again. There is an exotic petting zoo and you can feed the animals.

I am quite certain that Critter Co. was Caylea's favorite part of the day!

This little baby dwarf bunny stole mine and Caylea's heart! Is he not the cutest thing ever!

We then went by PetSmart to look for a frog that would work in a little wet and dry habitat Caylea got with some of her birthday money. We found the perfect one his name is spots he is a fire belly toad. I will take pictures of him later but I haven't done that yet.

Then it was to target to get Caylea a dsi game. We had already gotten her a bike but Daddy promised her a game and she was so excited to pick one out. She is building up quite a little ds game collection. They are almost all about animals. Such a funny girl.

We then picked up dinner and went home to eat and change into our swim suite. Caylea wanted to swim.

We swam for a few hours and then went home because the kids wanted to ride their bikes. They have been wanting to ride them everyday. Which I think is great. Exercise plus they are getting better and better and building skills. Soon they will be riding the new bigger bikes with no problem :)

I got to chat with the neighbor for a bit while the kids rode around in the drive way and garage. By the time we went inside it was well after bedtime and so I let the kids get ready for bed and watch tv in my room. They feel asleep there and so I just scootched Carolina over when I went to bed and we all slept really well after such a long busy day!

I can't believe my sweet Caylea is 8 seems like she was just a baby not very long ago. I am so lucky to be her Mom. I joke and say she is too much like me. But in all honesty being like Me isn't that bad. There are some personality traits like being way to sensitive and not standing up for yourself that I pray God allows her to work through much younger than I did. Pretty much though she is one of the sweetest kids you will ever meet and I am not just saying that because she is mine. . .it really is true!

Hi Chan! I have been off and on (mostly off) of having a computer for a while so I haven't been keeping up too well. Today I saw you mention prayer for the girls in school (which I definitely will! First day of ANY YEAR is always a big deal - but especially the first, I know.) so I wanted to come to your blog to catch up. Boy, I miss you and the kids! (And Anthony too, of course.:) So how have you all been? I have to say that your photography has gotten AMAZING!!! I'm not kidding when I say that I need to ask you for tips now! Do you still shoot on auto only b/c if so, you have got the best camera EVER and if not, please tell me what you used to learn. I've finally gotten a lot of the "head knowledge" but can't seem to transfer it to MY camera. LOL! Anyway, I can't wait to visit your blog more regularly again and I'd love to read Caylea's! That's wonderful that she's a budding writer! Tell her Happy Birthday from the Truitts!
